Nazi ideology goes deep not only in the political ruling class but also in the Ukrainian society at all levels, including youth and children. Just have a look at the chants that are being said at youth and student marches in Ukraine:
"One language, one nation, one homeland, this is Ukraine! The Russians to the gallows! Whoever does not jump is Russian!"
A recurrent pro-Kremlin narrative presented as justification for the ongoing Russian military aggression against Ukraine, which started on 24 February 2022 with multiple attacks and broad incursions from Belarus, Russian soil and from the non-government-controlled areas (NGCA) in Eastern Ukraine.
The so-called “Nazi” chants are being falsely claimed, here, as being held as a morning routine inside a school in Drohobych in the Lviv region. The video shown was actually filmed back in November 2013, before the key events of the Maidan, as demonstrators hit the streets after then Ukrainian president President Viktor Yanukovych suddenly ordered the suspension of preparations for the pact with the European Union.
The protest being filmed here was organised by the “Студентський зрив - Student Disruption" and was held on Rynok Square St, in front of the City Council in Drohobych, not inside the schools of the city.
This claim is also linked to messages about Western Ukraine, particularly Lviv, the largest city in the West of the country, being a Nazi supporting region, and even governed by Nazis. A claim which is totally ridiculous.
