There is an ongoing propaganda campaign to fool people into believing that the new Omicron variant is much less dangerous and that mass infection would actually be a beneficial outcome.
An unfounded claim about the coronavirus pandemic, strongly implying that authorities and media are deliberately deceiving people into believing that the Omicron variant is not dangerous, with the ultimate aim of spreading the infection as much as possible. No tangible evidence is presented to support this claim.
On 26 November 2021, the EU’s European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDP) declared Omicron to be a “variant of concern”, just as it did for the Beta, Gamma and Delta variants. According to the ECDP, the risks of this variant are high. These concerns were echoed by Ursula Von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, who urged people to follow social distancing rules and “prepare for the worse”.
The World Health Organization (WHO) also designated Omicron as a variant of concern on 26 November 2021 and so did the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) four days later. The statements of health authorities, such as the ECDP, WHO and CDC, have been widely covered by media.
Read similar cases of disinformation claiming that the WHO does not cure, but cripples, that the US may be plotting a new pandemic, that the Council of Europe has abolished vaccination, or that the illegitimate Biden regime seeks to destroy Americans' health by dissuading American from vaccinating.
