Disproof
Recurring disinformation narrative suggesting that the US government were involved in staging the 9/11 attacks. There is no factual evidence to support the article’s conspiracy theory.
The attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and the White House on 11 September killed 2,977 people from 93 nations: 2,753 people were killed in New York; 184 people were killed at the Pentagon; and 40 people were killed on Flight 93.
The final report from the “9-11 Commission" established by US legislators was published in 2002 and consists of around 800 pages detailing all aspects of the investigations and findings about the terrorist attacks. It is is clear that only Al-Qaeda planned and organised the attacks and the report presents no evidence regarding the involvement of the US Government.
The numerous conspiracy theories about the 9/11 attacks have been debunked many times over the years (for further debunking see here and here). Furthermore, as reported on September 9 2021 by Polygraph, the Russian government news agency Ria Novosti published an analysis, for the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, reiterating various conspiracy theories.

Read similar cases claiming that 9/11 was no terrorist attack, the US government is behind this tragedy, that 9/11 was planned by US to use as a pretext to attack Afghanistan, and that Israel knew 9/11 was coming.
