Disinfo: Events in Belarus are organised by Poland, Lithuania, UK and various American foundations

Summary

All events in Belarus are organised by countries such as Poland, Lithuania, with the support of Great Britain and various American foundations – not Washington, not the White House, but American democrats, supporters of Soros, and so on.

The Belarusian “revolution” has no chance of continuation, because “the rabid supporters of the overthrow Lukashenko, namely, Polish, Lithuanian politicians, are no longer supported by many other countries in Europe. Russia promised support to Belarus. Everyone in the West understands this.

Disproof

This is part of an ongoing Russian disinformation campaign on Belarus based on recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives, such as accusing other countries of interference and portraying popular protests against electoral fraud in the country as a Western-led colour revolution. It accuses Poland and Lithuania of a plan to intervene in the domestic affairs of Belarus, which is a severe violation of the principles of diplomacy and international relations.

Unfounded statements about the US Democratic party's and Soros foundation's involvement in processes in Belarus. The countries of the EU or UK have nothing to do with the mass protests in Belarus. The protests erupted to contest the results of the presidential elections in Belarus on the 9th of August, which are considered fraudulent by a large part of Belarusian society. The European Union has said that the elections were neither free nor fair.

Poland and Lithuania support the independence and territorial integrity of Belarus. Poland and Lithuania, as well as the EU, have expressed support to people protesting in Belarus.

Belarusian protests are managed from the US, Poland, Lithuania, and Czechia

The US has lately intensified pressure on foreign governments and is actively using manipulations and new technologies in communications and information. It is proven by the analysis of how Belarusian protests are governed from Warsaw, Lithuania, and Czechia. Although they are located in the EU’s shadow, the US is implicated in this process.

Disproof

This publication promotes recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about Belarus protests as being organised and controlled from abroad and as West's attempt to organise a colour revolution.

There is no evidence that the US, Lithuania, Poland, Czechia, or any other Western governments are involved in any way in the protests in Belarus. Large-scale protests began in Minsk on August 9 against the results of the presidential election, and then in other cities. People revolted against election fraud and police violence towards thousands of rally participants.

Poland and Lithuania wish to colonise Belarus and Ukraine

Poland and Lithuania are drivers of the Belarusian crisis. They are trying to pull the whole EU into it. Poland and Lithuania are long-time tools of the US’s influence in the EU. They are trying to follow their practices in the Ukrainian crisis. Their interest in the Belarusian crisis is explained by a few factors. First, they see themselves as the US’s younger partners for exporting colour revolutions. Second, they wish to benefit economically from the flows of labour migrants and access to the market. Third, Poland and Lithuania wish to implement the Rzeczpospolita project, where Belarus and Ukraine will have the role of the colonies. They wish to become a regional empire and withstand Russia.

Disproof

This publication transmits several recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about Belarus protests as being organised and controlled from abroad and as West's attempt to organise a colour revolution, about imperial and colonial intentions of Poland and Lithuania, and about their groundless Russophobia and anti-Russian activities.

There is no evidence that the Western forces are involved in any way in the protests in Belarus. At the same time, Russia provides controversial propaganda assistance to Alyaksandr Lukashenka through a pool of Russian Today employees temporarily stationed in Belarus.

Black Lives Matter is a corporation financed by George Soros

Antifa is a terror organization operationalized and functionally created by the deep state. One of the front group NGOs that funnels money to Antifa is ‘Democracy Alliance’, which has Kamala Harris, George Soros, Tom Steyer, BLM Corporation, and many more, as members or backers. BLM Corporation is heavily financed by George Soros.

Disproof

Recurring narrative on the US protests being organised by George Soros and the Democrat party to take power away from Donald Trump illegally.

There is no evidence to suggest that the protests in the US broke out through “top-down mobilisation,” or that someone is financing them. More globally, this narrative portrays any spontaneous disorders and civil uprisings in other states, very often the former Soviet republics, as Western-funded "colour revolutions".
