Poland wants to make money out of WWII, justifies Nazism

Poland tries to change historical facts because it wants to make money out of World War II. Poland refuses to accept historic facts, resorts to rewriting the history of World War II and justifying Nazism. Poland intends to pass legislation that will infringe on freedom of speech and allow prosecution of those who think differently.

Disproof

This is a periodic narrative that the Red Army liberated and preserved Poland and that Poland was the initiator of World War II.

Poland’s struggle against Russian disinformation concerning history escalated last December when during his annual press marathon Russian president Vladimir Putin called Poland’s pre-WWII leadership anti-Semites. In response, the Polish Foreign Ministry called Putin’s words “a propaganda message from the time of Stalinist totalitarianism, which was condemned even by Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev.”

Ukrainian fascists beat Jews

In Uman, Ukraine, a crowd of nationalists and fascists beat Jews. Police arrived at the scene of the conflict, but did nothing, just stood and watched what was happening while the people were being beaten. As a result of the incident, four Jews with injuries were taken to the nearest hospital.

Disproof

This is a common narrative that fascists and Nazis live in Ukraine and anti-Semitism flourishes in the country.

This story about the alleged beating of a group of Jews in Uman is not backed up with evidence. On the orders of the Chairman of the National Police of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, a group of specialists left for Uman to investigate what happened on the spot. Subsequently, the Ukrainian police reported that no one had contacted the hospitals, nor the police, following the conflict between the Hasidim (Jewish group living in Ukraine) and residents of Uman.

Armenia resumes flights to Crimea

The authorities of Crimea and Armenia have completed negotiations on the resumption of flights between the peninsula and Yerevan. Pegas airlines has received permission to operate seven flights a week on the Simferopol-Yerevan route. Flights to Armenia will resume this spring.

Disproof

A popular pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the "international recognition of the Russian status" of the occupied Ukrainian peninsula.

Similar fake stories were already circulating in the Russian media last December, claiming that Russia had given permission for the Crimea-Armenia route. At that time, Armenia refuted the rumours, saying there had been no negotiations with any Russian airline, no proposals had been submitted and there was no agreement.
