Disinfo: At the times of the coronavirus pandemic the EUMM helps Tbilisi to violate the border with South Ossetia

Summary

The Tbilisi regime is using the corona virus pandemic to exacerbates the situation on the state border [with South Ossetia].

On the night of March 22-23, the Georgian side, with the active support of the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM), used three balloons and one light UAV to conduct optical reconnaissance over the South Ossetian territory, positions of the South Ossetian KGB and border patrols of Russian FSB.

While Russia provides humanitarian and medical assistance to Italy in the fight against the coronavirus, the EUMM, with its mandate, actually covers up the irresponsible activities of the Georgian security forces, which aim to complicate the functioning of the state border between South Ossetia and Georgia and create additional security threats.

Disproof

Conspiracy theory consistent with recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about the EU's Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM).

The EUMM was deployed immediately following the war between Russia and Georgia in 2008. Its mandate is to support the restoration of ordinary life, to prevent a return to hostilities, to build confidence among the conflict parties and to inform about EU policy.

The EUMM comes under frequent pro-Kremlin disinformation attacks, see earlier cases alleging that EUMM observers violated the administrative boundary line; and that it encourages Georgia's destructive activities near the South Ossetian border;

The European Union remains fully committed to peaceful conflict resolution in Georgia and reiterates its firm support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognised borders.

The Baltic States may not survive the economic shock of COVID-19 pandemic

According to the European experts, the Baltic States will face the hardest economic blow since the 2008-2009 financial crisis. The peripheral regions of the EU, including the Baltic States will be the most affected by the coronavirus epidemic. The crisis caused by the coronavirus completely erases the whole post-Soviet development model of the Baltic States. The economic shock will be so severe that the Baltic States may not survive it.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the imminent collapse of the Baltic States.

The disinformation article misrepresents findings of the economic forecast for the Eastern Europe by the Vienna Institute for the International Economical Studies.  Although the forecast projects worst year since the global financial crisis for the Central, East and South East Europe, it also states that: "in all scenarios, the CIS countries and Turkey would be worst affected, with the EU member states and some Western Balkan countries faring relatively better".

Lithuania will become a black hole in the energy map of Europe

Latvia and Belarus are discussing the possibility of laying the electricity power lines to bypass Lithuania. The implementation of this project is spurred by the Lithuanian authorities, who intend to block access of BelAES products to consumers from third countries. To prevent a sharp jump in electricity prices, Latvia and Estonia are forced to isolate themselves from Lithuania, and not from Belarus.  If current trends continue, in a few years Lithuania risks becoming a black hole on the energy map of the Baltic states.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Lithuania and the Astravets Nuclear Power Plant in Belarus.

On 20 April 2017, the Lithuanian parliament passed a bill imposing a ban on import of electricity from Belarus' nuclear power plant in Astravets. It was reported in early February 2020 that the governments of the three Baltic nations will sign a declaration of intent to oppose electricity purchases from the Astravets NPP.

The COVID-19 outbreak is a pretext to gain control of the world’s population

Those who control the money scheme to control the world. To do that, they need to assume control over the population of the planet. 7 billions 785 million people live at the planet right now. Those need to be controlled, excluding the “golden million” – the owners of the money and their families.

If we conclude that the coronavirus pandemic is a Specials forces operation, launched by those who control the money, than one of its goals is to achieve a hundred percent control of the planet’s population. [—-]

Big Pharma has already started to use a new type of vaccines, using nano technology. Using this technology it has become possible to inject nano-microchips, the site of a dust particle.

Disproof

An unfounded conspiracy theory, sharing a recurrent pro-Kremlin narrative about "secret elites" controlling world leaders.

COVID-19 comes from a family of viruses originating in animals that include other viruses such as SARS and MERS. It was first reported in the Chinese city of Wuhan in central China and has been rapidly spreading across the world, with cases being reported in 190 countries, territories and areas. The number of COVID-19 cases surpassed 300,000 globally with over 14,000 deaths (with 5,476 only in Italy) by 23 March 2020.
