The engine and resource base for the unification of the West itself is … the process of the disintegration of Russia, the entire post-Soviet space. That is, they are building their project, ruining ours. Accordingly, the more the pro-Soviet bloc collapses, the more the West “bites off”.

Disproof

Conspiracy theory framing Russia as the ultimate target of international events, based on several recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about Russia being encircled and about colour revolutions, framing popular protests in Belarus and Kyrgyzstan or elsewhere as Western-backed destabilisation attempts in the post-Soviet space.

The narrative has been applied to report about protests in Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, as well as to portray the West as an aggressive actor constantly preparing new coups.

See earlier disinformation cases alleging that US is creating a destabilising belt around Russia, that the goal of the US global “Anaconda” strategy is to limit the living space of geopolitical opponents, and that the West's objective is to encircle Russia entirely thanks to the "Anaconda ring" and "Great Turan" doctrines, that The West is creating a “fire belt” around Russia through protests in Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.

[EU sanctions against Syria] are not sanctions; according to the rules of international law they are unilateral measures taken by a group of states against a sovereign state. Their decision is purely for political purposes. However, from a legal point of view, does this decision affect the state and its nationals? Yes. Therefore, according to the laws and rules of international humanitarian law, they are blatantly violating these rules.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the Syrian war and belligerent intentions of the West against Syria.

Within the context of the Syrian conflict, EU sanctions, imposed since 9 May 2011, respond to the repression perpetrated on the Syrian people by the Syrian regime and its supporters, including through the use of live ammunition against peaceful protesters and the regime’s involvement in the proliferation and use of chemical weapons. EU sanctions against the regime were extended in May 2020 for one year, and in October 2020, new seven individual ministers were added to the list.

JIT’s goal was not to establish facts but to substantiate accusations against Russia

The goal of the JIT was not to establish the truth in the MH17 case, but only to substantiate “that very first“ only correct ”version” about the direct involvement of the Luhansk and Donetsk Peoples’ Republics and Russia in the crash.

One of the numerous unfounded conspiracy theories attempting to discredit the Joint International Investigation of the downing of the flight MH17.

The Joint Investigation Team (JIT), which is comprised of Dutch Public Prosecution Service officials and the Dutch police, along with police and criminal justice authorities from Australia, Belgium, Malaysia and Ukraine, was established in 2014 to conduct a criminal investigation of MH17 crash. The purpose of the criminal investigation is to establish the facts of the case, to determine the truth of what happened, to identify those responsible for downing flight MH17, and to gather criminal evidence for prosecution.

The West is supporting terrorists to encircle Russia

Some of the extremist Islamic organisations are employing their favourite and recurring narrative on calling for jihad to support Islam in Karabakh, with the same mechanism of “jihad against atheism” that was used in the 1980s, then the support of Muslims in Yugoslavia in the 1990s, then the Muslims of Chechnya in the late 1990s and the beginning of the millennium, all through to the support of “Islam” during the “Arab Spring” revolutions, and then the establishment of the “Islamic Caliphate” in the Levant.

The same organisations, institutions and charities, and indeed the same faces and the same Western apparatus behind them, are using the same mechanism of providing generous and malicious funds this time to destabilise Russia’s weak spots, namely the Caucasus by transporting a few hundred terrorists to Azerbaijan to create tension in Russian-Azerbaijani and Russian-Turkish relations, in preparation for the introduction of these people into Russian lands through the 330 km-long border between Azerbaijan and Russia.
