Disinfo: Biden's son has photos of underage girls on his laptop

Summary

The lawyer of US President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, said that sexual materials related to minors were allegedly found in the laptop of the son of presidential candidate Joe Biden. According to the messages that Trump’s lawyer showed, Hunter Biden allegedly wrote to his father that Hallie Biden accused him of inappropriate behaviour with minors – she did not like that naked Hunter was talking on FaceTime with a 14-year-old girl whose name was deliberately hidden in the correspondence.

Disproof

Conspiracy theory against the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, accusing him of paedophilia. This is a recurring message, consistent with the pro-Kremlin's constant attacks against the US Democratic Party. There is no evidence that a laptop previously belonging to Hunter Biden contains child pornography. The allegation originated on the anonymous internet forum 4Chan, a known source of online disinformation. See more on PolitiFact.com. Joe Biden, at the same time, called this information a "desperate smear campaign against him and his family". See other examples in our database, such as claims that Joe Biden is preparing a coup, and his militants are setting the US on fire; that he is actually the president of Ukraine, where he has been personally profiteering; that he was behind 2019 protests in Georgia; that he admitted his personal involvement in preventing Putin from participating in the presidential race; or that his son pushed for war in eastern Ukraine to clear the territory for fracking.

Disinfo: The US destroyed Russian ventilators and lied about their defect

“Politics” instead of “saving people”. The United States destroyed ventilators donated by Russia and lied about their defect. A spokesman for the US Federal Emergency Management Agency said that Americans had destroyed the ventilators donated by Russia. Moreover, in the presentation of BuzzFeed News, the devices were defective, but in fact, it turned out that the Americans simply did not figure out how to use the adapters. And they decided to lie. As always, for the sake of politics.

Disproof

Disinformation linked to the decision of US health to stop using medical equipment donated by Russian Federation. Forty-five ventilators were sent from Russia to the USA in April 2020. They included several of a particular model called Aventa-M, built by the Ural Instrument Engineering Plant (UPZ) in Chelyabinsk, 930 miles east of Moscow. Shortly after being delivered to the US, this model of ventilators was reported by Russian media to have caused two deadly fires at hospitals treating coronavirus patients. That is why in May 2020, the Federal Emergency Management Agency spokesperson said that they are aware of the fires and that the US is returning the ventilators “out of an abundance of caution.” Recently, however, a FEMA spokesperson said to BuzzFeed News that the donated ventilators "were disposed of following strict hazardous waste disposal regulatory guidelines set by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)." At the same time, on 22 October Meduza reported that the Russian court fined this same ventilator-manufacturer for shoddy production. This is already the second time the Ural Instrument Making Plant has been fined for manufacturing faulty equipment.

Disinfo: The West is blackmailing Zelenskyy

British intelligence has invited the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to show him compromising evidence they have and remind him he needs to obey the orders of the West.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation about Ukraine and the West. There is no evidence of such claims. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid an official visit to the United Kingdom. During the visit, he signed the Agreement on Political Cooperation, Free Trade and Strategic Partnership between Ukraine and the UK. "The UK supports President Zelenskyy’s efforts to end the conflict in eastern Ukraine and is focussing diplomatic efforts on assisting the Ukrainian government with peace-building and recovery, alongside longstanding support for economic and governance reform and anti-corruption initiatives," the UK government officially stated. You can read similar cases claiming that in exchange for IMF loans, Kyiv will carry out the genocide of Ukrainians, that Ukrainians will be turned into the cheap labour force, and that Ukraine spends half of its budget to pay debts.

Disinfo: The Globalists target Karabakh in order to suffocate Russia

Globalists, they never sleep. They are constantly creating a cataclysm. One after the other. After the war in Syria came Covid. When the rate of the spread of Covid slowed down, came the Black Lives matter movement… The next one is the war in Artsakh (Karabakh). And the main goal of this war is to create a suffocating circle around Russia, the enemy of the globalists, which must be gradually squeezed to eliminate that country.

Disproof

Conspiracy theory, connecting any political or natural cataclysms with the global/ secret elites. Conspiracy theories about the "deep state" are widespread, they promote a narrative about a global elite secretly ruling the world. In most cases, the “deep state” is referred to as American elites, who promote aggressive wars and prevent US reconciliation with Russia. The idea of a "deep state" has always been very popular among conspiracy theorists. This article also promotes another narrative framing Russia as the ultimate target of international events, based on a recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Russia being encircled through a so-called “Anaconda plan. There is no evidence that the 2020 military confrontation between Armenia and Azerbaijan was aimed against Russia. The recent escalation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region is a continuation of the decades-old conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. See earlier disinformation cases alleging that US is creating a destabilising belt around Russia, that the goal of the US global “Anaconda” strategy is to limit the living space of geopolitical opponents, and that the West's objective is to encircle Russia entirely thanks to the "Anaconda ring" and "Great Turan" doctrines, that The West is creating a “fire belt” around Russia through protests in Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, that Nine days before the war, Lady Gaga warned about it.
