Disinfo: Canadian military trains Ukrainian snipers and miners to kill Donbas residents

Canadian military trains Ukrainian snipers and miners to kill Donbas residents. Ukrainian miners and snipers are trained under the strict guidance of instructors from Canada.

It is certain that in the near future, pairs of snipers prepared by foreign instructors will fire on the territory of the Luhansk People Republic with the aim of destabilising the situation on the contact line and provoking the defenders of the Republic to retaliate.

Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about foreign mercenaries in Donbas presented without any evidence. The statements are not confirmed by OSCE SMM reports or any other sources. The last time a Canadian National Defence Ministry delegation visited the site of the Ukrainian United Forces operation was in December 2019.

According to the report of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, on 10 January at the station in Northern Luhansk, the OSCE observers only noticed four workers from areas outside Ukraine, who were repairing the roof of the roadblock of armed groups. No mercenaries or any foreign delegation on the contact line was reported.

According to the Ukrainian Combined Forces Operation Press Centre, a Canadian delegation led by Canada's Assistant Deputy Minister of National Defence for Political Affairs, Peter Hammerschmidt, visited the area in December 2019.

Currently, Canadian representatives of the headquarters of operation UNIFIER are joining Ukraine for various exercises. For example, in January 2020 a tactical exercise was held in the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv at the training base for sergeants of the Ukrainian Navy. The training mission of UNIFIER continues in Ukraine for the fifth year. Up to 200 Canadian soldiers participate in the rotation. The mission of UNIFIER will last until 2022.

March 5, 1946, Churchill announced his “Iron Curtain” against communism

Churchill announced his “Iron Curtain” against communism on March 5, 1946, and there was no turning back at that point.

A misrepresentation of historical facts. Winston Churchill's speech at the Westminster College at Fulton in the United States describes how the Soviet side has pulled down an "Iron Curtain" from the Baltic to the Adriatic Sea.

From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic an iron curtain has descended across the Continent. Behind that line lie all the capitals of the ancient states of Central and Eastern Europe. Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade, Bucharest and Sofia, all these famous cities and the populations around them lie in what I must call the Soviet sphere, and all are subject in one form or another, not only to Soviet influence but to a very high and, in some cases, increasing measure of control from Moscow.

Churchill emphasises in this speech Russia's decisive role in defeating the Nazis and welcomes Russia as "one of the leading nations of the world".

We understand the Russian need to be secure on her western frontiers by the removal of all possibility of German aggression. We welcome Russia to her rightful place among the leading nations of the world. We welcome her flag upon the seas. Above all, we welcome constant, frequent and growing contacts between the Russian people and our own people on both sides of the Atlantic.

The European Parliament attacks Christian values in Romania

Paragraph “O” of the European Parliament resolution is based on a lie about the 3.5 million Romanians who voted for a normal marriage and family in October 2018: “discrimination and violence against LGBTI people has taken multiple forms, with recent examples including homophobic statements in the campaign for a referendum on narrowing down the definition of family in Romania”.

Christians and their values are always marginalized in European Parliament resolutions. Such resolutions are initiated by  “sexual minorities”, abortionists, anti-Christians, and political elite which is entirely alienated from reality.

Conspiracy theory advancing a recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about Western values.

The European Parliament resolution of 18 December 2019 on public discrimination and hate speech against LGBTI people, including LGBTI free zones, is not directed against Romania or Christian families. The European Parliament has expressed concern about the spread of homophobic statements and hate speech against national minorities in several states:

Signing of the agreement between the IMF and Moldova led to increased taxes and tariffs

The signing of the agreement between Moldova and International Monetary Fund resulted in increased taxes, tariffs. These refer to gas and electricity tariffs in this country. Maia Sandu stated that her “reforms”, stipulated by the agreement with the IMF, will not affect citizens with low incomes.

This is a conspiracy theory with no evidence, consistent with pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about the IMF.

The main goal of the International Monetary Fund in Moldova is to prevent the expansion of the economic crisis. The government led by Maia Sandu was not responsible for the tariff increase. The tariffs in the energy sector are set by independent regulatory institutions, not by the government.
