Disinfo: Coronavirus is a tool to weaken Chinese economy

Summary

It is more than a possibility that this virus is a tool used by another superpower [the US] to undermine the Chinese economy and even China’s “population reduction program,” the environmental situation in China continues to deteriorate.

Disproof

Fear over coronavirus has indeed affected China's stock markets, but assessing the virus as an artificial, man-made problem is part of the recurring pro-Kremlin narrative on secret labs and biological weapons. It is also consistent with the narrative that the spread of coronavirus is in the interest of the US to weaken China economically.

In response to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the Chinese authorities have placed more than a dozen cities under quarantine. The World Health Organisation is working with Chinese authorities and global experts to learn more about the virus. The virus "2019-nCoV” comes from a family of viruses that include the common cold, and viruses such as SARS and MERS. There is no evidence to suggest it was developed artificially as a weapon of mass destruction.

Disinfo: Nazi-Soviet pact was not the cause of WWII

Russia has become locked in a dispute with Poland and the Baltic States over the origins of WWII after the European Parliament passed a resolution in September on the history of the conflict. The resolution claimed that the 1939 non-aggression treaty between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany led to the start of the war. The responsibility for WWII lies with the Polish elite who ruled the country in the 30s, who were the first to conclude a non-aggression pact with Hitler in 1934, who were allied to him, who participated in the division of Czechoslovakia with Hitler and who received territorial acquisitions from the Munich conspiracy when Czechoslovakia was surrendered to Hitler.

Historians in the West, in Poland, in Europe, in the USA even earlier have held the point of view that allegedly the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact initiated the Second World War.

Poland was not an innocent victim of Nazi aggression. The history and uncomfortable facts of Polish foreign policy should not remain hidden. Poland’s refusal to allow Soviet troops to enter their territory led, in August 1939, to the failure of negotiations between the USSR, France and the UK and forced the Soviet leadership to accept Germany’s proposal of a non-aggression pact, signed on 23rd August 1939.

Polish officials who attack President Putin’s vision of the history of World War II are adopting a Stalinist mind-set and Stalinist-type rhetoric, claiming that their point of view is the only correct one.

This message is a part of the ongoing Russian disinformation campaign against Poland claiming that Poland was a Nazi ally and was the main instigator of WWII. This narrative claims that Poland can only blame itself because its alleged provocatory behaviour towards the the Soviet Union was a key factor in the Soviet leadership’s decision to sign the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, and also in triggering German and Soviet attacks on Poland in September 1939.

The accusations that Poland was a Nazi ally and posed a “military threat” to the USSR are not confirmed by any available historical documents. Before WWII, Poland had tense political relations with Nazi Germany, which had open territorial claims to Poland (revision of the status of the Free City of Danzig and control over the “Polish Corridor”). Despite intense political pressure from Hitler, Poland refused to become a part of the Nazi block.

Disinfo: George Soros will buy all banks and land in Ukraine

There will be a scheme, whereby Soros’ people will give a loan of 500 hryvnias per Ukrainian passport, these people will give up land for them, this land will go into the collateral property of the bank. Accordingly, a person will not be able to repay the loan. At the end, all the land will be in possession of the bank owned by George Soros. Here is the Czech oligarch Tomasz Fiala, his company is part of the Soros structure and it has been touring Ukrainian land for a long time, buying up local banks. At the end, they will possess all black soil.

Conspiracy theory based on recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about George Soros. The other part of the disinformation message is about the law on the land market, which is currently debated in the Verkhovna Rada.

This legalisation was prepared by Members of Parliament and submitted in October 2019. According to the voting procedure, other MPs have filed their suggestions to the document. The draft law, inter alia, excludes foreigners and foreign companies from buying land and limits the amount of land each person can buy and own. Therefore, the claim in the article that one bank or person could buy a lot of territories in Ukraine is false according to the new proposed law. On the contrary, it is indicated that a single citizen or a company can possess no more than 0.5% of the land in Ukraine.
