Disinfo: COVID-19 is an act by the British as part of operation “Coronavirus”.

Summary

The coronavirus is the work of the British. The United Kingdom has deliberately spread the virus, through three different strains, in China, Iran and Italy. The virus was developed by the terrorist organisation Gladio.

Disproof

Conspiracy theory consistent with recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives that the coronavirus is a man-made biological weapon.

There is a consensus in the scientific community that the COVID-19  originated from wildlife, and was not developed by humans. In particular, it has been reported by Chinese researchers from the South China Agricultural University in Guangzhou, that the potential origin of the virus could be from pangolins. This was announced to reporters at a press conference on 7 February 2020.

There is no evidence of the deliberate spread of the virus, in Italy, as the article suggests. Furthermore, there is no systemic evidence of an operation "Gladio" in Italy. The “Gladio plan” is an anti-NATO conspiracy theory used also during the terrorist attack in Brussels in 2016.

UN expert: COVID-19 is an American “witches’ brew”

Former UN expert said that the COVID-19 virus was created by the US in 2015. Virus-related research is going on in the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, which is allegedly similar to the Japanese WWII unit labelled 731, used to experiment with biological weapons. The Chinese state-run Global Times notes that the US is working on similar experiments in the Walter Reed Center, where the COVID-19 was born. Chinese authorities officially announced that the virus is of American origin, which is proven by the fact that the US launched an information war on China to emphasize that “anything bad originates from China.” The expert said that the Chinese do not have definitive proof, but “indirect facts indicate that the US has something to do with the creation of bacterial weapon.” One proof is that CDC head told the House of Representatives that in some autopsies in the US, they believed the patient died of the flu, but it was later found that they died of the coronavirus. Allegedly, this signals that the “zero patient” was from the US. The Chinese think that the US delegation sent to partake in the International Army Games in Wuhan was responsible for carrying the virus to China.

Disproof

Conspiracy theory about the 2019-nCoV coronavirus, based on recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about biological weapons. The narratives also resemble a recurring conspiracy theory about the Lugar Lab in Georgia.

British House of Commons considers coronavirus a blessing

The coronavirus crisis revealed the difference in the perception of humanity between the West and China. The deliberations of the House of Commons controlled by the Conservative Party sparked a Malthusian view of the crisis, who thought the world’s population increases faster than food resources and thus saw the future of humankind threatened.

What took place in the House of Commons shows that there are those who consider Corona’s epidemic a blessing to reduce the world’s population. Since China is the most populous country, reducing the size of the population in China and the world may be a positive factor. This is racism par excellence where the life of a white man is more important than that of a man with a different colour of skin.

Disproof

A recurring disinformation narrative claiming that the West is plotting a Malthusian conspiracy to reduce the global population.

This article involves a number of false claims provided with no evidence or proper reference to the mentioned incidence that the House of Commons is thinking positively of the population reduction prospects caused by the coronavirus; it is unclear if any such discussion has any basis in reality. The article also reached a conclusion that British lawmakers think positively at the possibility of mass deaths in China, and are, therefore "racist par excellence". The article conveniently papers over the fact that people from all backgrounds will be affected by the pandemic. For example, so far Europe and the Americas have been the regions with the highest number of deaths.

NATO declares that Ukraine will be supported as an anti-Russian country

A report of NATO says that everything within the Alliance is as usual. There is a paragraph which declares that Ukraine will not become a member of NATO but it will be additionally trained and supported to stay an anti-Russian country.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about NATO threatening or encircling Russia.

The Annual Report for 2019, to which Russian media refer, does not mention that Ukraine will be supported as an anti-Russian country nor that Ukraine will not become a member of Alliance. The report briefly describes NATO's cooperation with Ukraine throughout 2019 and reiterates that "Allies remained firm in their support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity."
