Disinfo: If the victim does not die, it cannot be novichok

Summary

Talking about the alleged poisoning of blogger Alexei Navalny with a new type of Novichok is unbelievable because Navalny did not show symptoms of poisoning from this substance … This substance has specific symptoms, which did not appear in Navalny’s case at all. Even if it comes out of your skin, you will not experience these symptoms. If the end is not death, then Novichok is out of the question.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the poisoning of Alexei Navalny.

A prominent Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny fell ill during a flight and was initially hospitalized in Omsk. Since then he has been transferred to Berlin and is receiving treatment at Berlin's Charite Hospital. The German federal government said that toxicological tests provided  “unequivocal evidence of a chemical nerve agent of the Novichok group” in the blood samples of Alexei Navalny.

The European Union condemned poisoning of Alexei Navalny in the strongest possible terms.

There are at least four people known to have survived a Novichok poisoning. In 1987 Andrey Zheleznyakov, a researcher attached to the Soviet chemical warfare programme, suffered an accidental exposure to a Novichok-type compound. The accident left him permanently disabled but alive for another six years.

In March 2018, Russian ex-spy Sergey Skripal and his daughter Yuliya fell victim of a poisoning in Salisbury but recovered with intensive medical care. The UK authorities established that the assassination attempt had been carried out by two Russian intelligence operatives using Novichok.

The following June, two individuals in Amesbury, England were accidentally exposed to Novichok contained in a fake perfume bottle. One of the victims survived.

Read similar disinformation cases alleging that the West has an interest in the death of Navalny and that only traces of alcohol and caffeine were found in Navalny’s blood, or that the West will falsely accuse Russia of poisoning Navalny, as with Skripal and Litvinenko or that US used Navalny case to block Russian vaccine against COVID-19.

Black Lives Matter is a corporation financed by George Soros

Antifa is a terror organization operationalized and functionally created by the deep state. One of the front group NGOs that funnels money to Antifa is ‘Democracy Alliance’, which has Kamala Harris, George Soros, Tom Steyer, BLM Corporation, and many more, as members or backers. BLM Corporation is heavily financed by George Soros.

Disproof

Recurring narrative on the US protests being organised by George Soros and the Democrat party to take power away from Donald Trump illegally.

There is no evidence to suggest that the protests in the US broke out through “top-down mobilisation,” or that someone is financing them. More globally, this narrative portrays any spontaneous disorders and civil uprisings in other states, very often the former Soviet republics, as Western-funded "colour revolutions".

The “Novichok group” does not really exist

Professionals are not silent. They directly say that the clinical picture of the poisoning is completely different, that the “Novichok group” does not really exist, and that Berlin stubbornly avoids cooperation because it does not provide any information that would at least confirm the statements it has made. In short, Germany has told an absolute lie obvious to everyone, not caring about giving even a little certainty.

Disproof

This is part of a pro-Kremlin disinformation campaign on the poisoning of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny after the use of a chemical nerve agent of the Novichok group was established beyond any doubt by a specialist Bundeswehr laboratory. An effort to cast a shadow of doubt on the tests conducted in Germany.

The test proving Navalny's poisoning was conducted in a special German military lab, according to the government spokesman Steffen Seibert. Navalny was certainly not suffering from low blood sugar, as the Russian doctors who first treated his mysterious illness had claimed, or even a standard detective-novel poison like arsenic or cyanide. It was something far more dangerous, requiring the attention of the Army’s chemical weapons specialists.

Belarusian protests sponsored by EU, NATO and the Jews

Russian President Vladimir Putin in August ordered the French president and German chancellor to remain silent and not to interfere in the affairs of Belarus. It was a decisive stage of the defeat of the Belarusian opposition. And that is true. Externally inspired protests (or even attempts to take advantage of purely popular protests) sponsored by the EU, NATO, or even the Jews – Soros or Bernard Levy – should be “appeased” by force, not by leniency, through dialogues with the opposition, which is paid for by foreigners. “Soros and Bernard L’s Jewish puppets” were crushed in Belarus.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Belarus and Western attempts to organise a colour revolution in Belarus. The article does not provide any evidence that the EU, NATO or other foreign forces or foundations are involved in any way in the protests in Belarus.

Large-scale protests began in Minsk on August 9 against the results of the presidential election, and then in other cities. People revolted against what they call election fraud but also against the aggressiveness of the police, who arrested and ill-treated hundreds of rally participants.
