Dozens of young people who lost their lives in Kiev’s Independence Square during a “coup” four years ago were most likely killed by snipers who were in league with protest leaders. Ukraine is a failed state, its population has dwindled from 52m to 35m since the end of the USSR, the wages are very low and “Nazi associates” have become national heroes there.
[TEXT OF THE INTERVIEW ON THE TV STUDIO SCREEN:] “Are sanctions for a long time in general?” “Forever. The revival of Russia’s national identity usually leads to the rapid growth of its physical strength. Nobody in the West liked it at the level of instinct. Sanctions are the reaction of an old and tough enemy to our reinforcement. And they can be lifted only if we become weak again.”
Sanctions are not a response to "Russias strenghtening". They were imposed on Russia by EU in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and the deliberate destabilisation of Ukraine. The economic sanctions targeting exchanges with Russia in specific economic sectors are aligned to the complete implementation of the Minsk agreements. www.consilium.europa.eu/en/policies/sanctions/ukraine-crisis/, The UN GA also affirmed its commitment to the sovereignty, political independence, unity and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and condemned the temporary occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol – by the Russian Federation, [see the resolutions No 68/262 and No 71/205]. www.securitycouncilreport.org/atf/cf/%7B65BFCF9B-6D27-4E9C-8CD3-CF6E4FF96FF9%7D/a_res_68_262.pdf, undocs.org/A/RES/71/205,
