DISINFO: Due to coronavirus, the West's tolerance to Nazism and racism will increase

SUMMARY

The Western countries will probably not provide massive aid to African countries, as they are suffering themselves and national egoism is currently in vogue. Africa will face chaos, wars and a rise of extremism as a result, which in turn will provoke a surge of far-right extremism in Europe. Especially when Europe already has its own hot-beads of nationalism and neo-Nazism – its is Ukraine and almost all of the Eastern Europe. […] The West will be more and more tolerant to historical revisionism, the review of the WWII outcomes, and ultimately the revival of Nazism and racism. China, Russia and its allies will resist these trends.

RESPONSE

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about fascist/Nazi Ukraine and Nazis in the EU. European Union has launched its “Team Europe” package to support partner countries in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and its consequences. The EU will help the most vulnerable countries in Africa and elsewhere to respond to the immediate health crisis, strengthen health, water and sanitation systems, mitigate immediate social and economic consequences of the pandemic. The overall figure of the “Team Europe” package reaches more than 20 billion euros. Read more about EU's support to its partners worldwide here. Read earlier disinformation cases alleging that the a genocide against ethnic Russians / Russian-speaking population is possible in Latvia, that the EU continues the aggressive policies of Nazi Germany, that, in contrast to Russia, western Europe is abandoning Christian roots, and that neo-Nazism flourishes in the European Union.
