Disinfo: EU countries no longer want to feed “three Baltic sisters”

EU countries no longer want to feed Eastern European parasites. First of all, the “three Baltic sisters” will have to learn to earn money themselves.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation undermining the statehood and painting the Baltic States as incapable of running functioning economies.

The economic situation of all three Baltic states is rather positive and demonstrates one of the leading economic growth indicators in the EU. The Baltic countries have been a showcase of successful transformation after regaining independence following 50 years of Soviet occupation. This includes free-market economies, well-functioning democratic institutions and legal systems. See further information here and here. More about the Baltic countries' economies can be read here.

The disinformation message appeared in the context of ongoing negotiations for the next EU budget (EU multi-annual financial framework).

Read similar cases alleging that the Baltics have lost industry because of the EU membership and that the EU intentionally destroyed economies of the three countries.

Belarus and the Russian Federation are parts of Russia. Sooner or later, our country will be united.

There are chances for closer integration of two parts of Russia: Belarus and the Russian Federation. Both are parts of Russia. Sooner or later, our country will be united.

Recurring pro-Kremlin propaganda narratives denying Belarusian statehood, considering Belarus as an integral part of the Russian world.

This is an imperial Russian and Russian irredentist ideology which is aimed at weakening the national identity of Belarus. Although Belarusian and Russian people share parts of their history, Belarus is an independent nation-state with a long history. Belarus preserved a different language, literature and identity, despite foreign rule for a long period on its territory.

The EU is an occupational government on behalf of the US in Europe

The EU would be interested in implementing the nuclear agreement with Iran for its own economic interests, but that would mean confronting the US. So the EU is going to do what Washington says because it is an occupational government in Europe on behalf of the US.

This is part of a recurrent Russian narrative to portray the European Union as a vassal of the US. The European Union is a sovereign entity, created by the voluntary initiative of European nations, and it has its own, independent foreign policy. Its citizens are directly represented in the European Parliament and Member States are represented in the European Council and the Council of the EU. The United States of America is not part of these institutions. The US had no role in the creation of the EU and has no say in its decisions.

You can see other examples of disinformation on this topic, such as allegations that the EU is dependent on US foreign policy and it is imposing sanctions on Russia only due to Washington’s pressure, that the US considers the EU a kind of protectorate and US troops in Europe are an occupying army which needs NATO to keep the Europeans under control, that the EU is trying to escape from US control and occupation, and that this is the reason why it needs its own army.

EU accepts a Kyiv government, filled to the brim with Nazis

The European countries are aware of the facts that the new Kiev government is filled to the brim with various radical and Nazi elements, it furthermore funds Nazis, as it even introduced a pension reform for veterans from the Nazi-infested elements. Furthermore, it supports radical and Nazi-like ideologies, such as the Ukrainian hero Stepan Bandera and his ideology, various Nazi elements soldiers’ uniforms and so forth. This, in turn, means that more than likely Europe understands that the Kiev government employs various methods of oppression, such as illegal detachments, censorship, political “witch hunts” and more, simply to remain in power.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative painting the Ukrainian politics dominated by fascist/Nazi groups and ideology.

The myth of Nazi-ruled Ukraine has been the cornerstone of Russian disinformation about the country since the beginning of the 2013-14 Euromaidan protests, when it was used to discredit the pro-European popular uprising in Kyiv and, subsequently, the broader pro-Western shift in Ukraine's foreign policy. The accusation of Nazism is one of the favourite techniques of pro-Kremlin outlets, read our past analysis Nazi east, Nazi west, Nazi over the cuckoo's nest.
