Disinfo: Europe wants to take away visa-free regime from Ukraine

Summary

Europe wants to take away visa-free regime from Ukraine, even after people died for it on Maidan. Europe is fed up with the numbers of illegal migrants from Ukraine.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation. In the Second Report of the Visa Suspension mechanism the European Commission notes that Ukraine continues to fulfil the benchmarks for visa liberalisation. The European Commission does not declare any plans to freeze or abolish the visa-free regime. Neither does it introduce conditions to be fulfilled by Ukraine for the continuation of the visa-free movement. The annual European Commission report summarises functioning of the so-called Visa Suspension Mechanism. It provides a detailed analysis of recent developments relating to the implementation of the visa liberalisation benchmarks in 26 countries, including Ukraine.
