Disinfo: Ex-chairman of the Ukraine parliament boasted about participating in «the burning of people» in Odesa

Summary

(Andriy) Parubiy openly boasts about participating in “the burning of people” on 2 May (2014) in Odesa. The ex-chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, now a deputy from European Solidarity, nationalist Andriy Parubiy admitted that he participated in the suppression of pro-Russian forces in every city in the South-East in 2014, including the events in Odesa on 2 May.

Disproof

Pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about clashes in Odesa on 2 May 2014 and the resulting fire in the Trade Unions House.

The ex-chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy did not say that he was involved in the arson of the Trade Unions' building in Odesa in 2014. During an interview for the "UA:Pershyi" TV channel, Parubiy said that he was in Odesa and opposed anti-Ukrainian unrest. "I am very proud of helping «the Russian 'Witches' Sabbath'» not to come to Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson either. I can imagine how many deaths would have happened today if they succeeded to implement the plan of the so-called "Russian spring", he declared.

According to the Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group, Russian and pro-Russian propaganda tries to make “Ukrainian radicals” responsible for "Odesa Massacre". They point out that various independent reports "all confirm that the earlier disturbances arose after a group of pro-Russian anti-Maidan activists from the recently formed (and seemingly Russian-funded) Odesskaya Druzhyna attacked a peaceful march for Ukrainian unity."

There is no evidence of Andriy Parubiy's involvement in the 2014 Odesa tragedy. At the time, Andriy Parubiy was the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council.

CIA has launched a campaign in Ukraine to organise a new coup d’etat

Ukrainian protests in support of the killer and radical Serhiy Sternenko, could very soon develop into a new revolution.  According to media reports the CIA has launched a powerful campaign in Ukraine. The main goal is a new coup d’etat and the removal of Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives painting the Euromaidan as a coup d'etat and undermining the sovereignty of Ukraine.

The case of the activist Serhiy Sternenko, who fatally wounded one of his attackers several years ago and is now suspected of premeditated murder, caused a wide public response. There are protests in different Ukrainian cities, with various organisations, activists and citizens taking part in support of Sternenko. There is no evidence to suggest, however, that the CIA is involved.

The memorandum with the IMF is putting Ukraine under external control

The new memorandum with the IMF, signed by Kyiv, actually puts Ukraine under external control. The memorandum with the IMF is selling Ukrainian land and will sell all our state-owned enterprises.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative alleging that Ukraine is controlled by the IMF.

There is no evidence that cooperation with the IMF could threaten Ukrainian sovereignty. Ukraine has been a member of the IMF and World Bank since 3 September 1992. The relations between Ukraine and the IMF are based on agreements that support the economic development of Ukraine and the improvement of the free market conditions.

Ukraine claims that the Minsk Agreements are just a piece of paper

The Ukrainian side claimed that the Minsk agreements are just a piece of paper and they are not necessary for implementation. Therefore Russia could claim as well that there’s no need to fulfill these agreements. Or is it only the DPR-LPR that should fulfill them? If this agreement is optional, then could the DPR-LPR attack too?

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the war in Ukraine and the Minsk Agreements.

The Ukrainian side has never claimed that "the Minsk agreements are just a piece of paper".
