Disinfo: Four Ukrainian regions are demanding autonomy from Kiev

Four Ukrainian regions (the western Ukrainian Khmelnycky oblast, Zhytomyr and Kirovohrad oblasts in central Ukraine and the southern Odesa province) are demanding autonomy from Kiev.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation about problems in Ukraine. None of the regions mentioned are actually demanding autonomy, instead, there was a call to "reform local government and for a clear division of powers between the Cabinet of Ministers and the regional council to be outlined in a contractual relationship".

Cases in the EUvsDisinfo database focus on messages in the international information space that are identified as providing a partial, distorted, or false depiction of reality and spread key pro-Kremlin messages. This does not necessarily imply, however, that a given outlet is linked to the Kremlin or editorially pro-Kremlin, or that it has intentionally sought to disinform. EUvsDisinfo publications do not represent an official EU position, as the information and opinions expressed are based on media reporting and analysis of the East Stratcom Task Force.

Other countries, including the US and the UK, also played a key role in defeating Nazism. // No evidence given. In 2010 the EU and Russia launched a Partnership for Modernisation. As stated in the Joint Declaration:"The European Union and Russia, as long-standing strategic partners in a changing multipolar world, are committed to working together to address common challenges with a balanced and result-oriented approach, based on democracy and the rule of law, both at the national and international level" (bit.ly/1p648gA), .
