Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation about Russia's involvement in the war in Ukraine.

Christophe Gomart indeed chaired the Directorate for Military Intelligence (Direction du Renseignement Militaire, DRM), one of six Frence intelligence services, but reportedly left this position in 2017. In April 2015 Gomart spoke at French National Assembly Committee for National Defence where he stated that DRM did not have evidence of Russian invasion of Ukraine, and this episode was published in 2015 by Sputnik and other Kremlin-controlled sources.

Since 2015, exhaustive evidence of Russian invasion into eastern Ukraine has been documented and published (e.g. Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, EU Observer, Inform Napalm, Vice News).
