Disinfo: GDP of European countries like Great Britain, France or Italy is much lower than the Russian one

Summary

If the G7 club should reflect the most important countries in the world the format should change because countries like India or Russia have a higher Gross Domestic Product than some G7 members.

Russia has a GDP which corresponds to 3% of the world GDP, India has 8% of the world GDP. These figures are above France and Great Britain whose GDP is a little more than 2%, or Italy and Canada – a little more than 1%.

Disproof

Classic disinformation narrative about the superiority of the Russian economy.

Different statistics exist about the world economy and the classification of Gross Domestic Product. According to statistics from the World Bank, available on Worldometers, Russia is on place 11 among the world’s largest economies, well below the ones in the claim. This concerns the nominal gross domestic product. On GDP per capita, where the GDP is related to the number of citizens, Russia assumes place 57.

The IMF has launched the “Ost” plan in Ukraine

It concerns those who forgot history. The IMF continues to implement Hitler’s “Ost” plan, which was developed by Germany in 1940. The objective of the Ost plan was to transform the Slavs into poorly educated slaves.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative alleging that Ukraine is controlled by the IMF.

There is no evidence that cooperation with the IMF could threaten Ukrainian sovereignty. Ukraine has been a member of the IMF and World Bank since 3 September 1992. The relations between Ukraine and the IMF are based on agreements that support the economic development of Ukraine and the improvement of the free market conditions.

Riots in the US take place according to the colour revolution manuals of US Democrats and Obama

The protest in the US is what it deserves. I have seen the training manuals according to which such riots were supposed to be happening in our country [Russia]. My version is that they tried to topple Trump. When that didn’t work they took the training manuals prepared by the Nobel laureate – isn’t this what Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize, for the training manual for colour revolutions? It is the only way to topple Trump. […]

All these orange revolutions are the creation on US Democrats.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the colour revolutions.

The ongoing civil unrest across the United States erupted after the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis. The responsible police officer has been charged with third-degree murder, and he and three other attending officers have been fired.

US interests prevent Ukraine from ending Donbas war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will not be able to end the Donbas conflict given that this would run contrary to US interests.

Disproof

The claim advances recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives casting Ukraine as a US client state, and implicitly painting the ongoing armed aggression in Ukraine as an internal affair.

Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity has been violated  by acts of aggression by the Russian armed forces since February 2014.  Washington along with Kyiv, maintains that its peaceful resolution is contingent on the fulfilment of the Minsk agreements.
