Disinfo: Germany is a US vassal

Summary

What did Trump do wrong to get so much hatred from the German power and media apparatus? Basically, he has deprived them of something very important that a vassal demands from the lord of the castle. To be patted on the shoulder now and then.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about German-American relations. Pro-Kremlin outlets often use the disinforming narrative about different countries being under the American thumb - see other examples here.

Germany is an independent and sovereign country and is not dependent on the United States of America in terms of foreign policymaking and therefore it is a conspiracy theory presented without any evidence. Germany and the US have close partner relations of two sovereign and independent countries.

For other disinformation cases see: Germany is a vassal of the US; Germany is the executor of US hegemony over Europe; The USA is controlling Europe through occupied Germany; Germany will have to choose between defending Europe's interest and catering to Washington.

Deep State with Victoria Nuland was the driving force behind regime overthrow in Ukraine

More practical substance for the world outside the USA might be the question, who will be the foreign policy and security adviser in the new administration. The direct intersections with the “deep state”, oh pardon, that is, of course, an invention of malicious tongues. Let’s say the oligarchy, the corporations and the networks of influence.

But if the “Deep State” existed, the already mentioned Victoria Nuland would be a deep state person, like in a storybook […] Ms. Nuland was in fact the driving force behind the regime overthrow in Ukraine rather than her head of state, Obama. Her personal imprint was more prominent.

Disproof

The claim that Ms. Nuland is one of the organisers of Euromaidan in 2014 in Ukraine is a part of a recurring pro-Kremlin narrative that claims that protests were organised by foreign forces.

In this case, the narrative with Ms. Nuland is adapted to the "Deep State" theory, which states that there won’t be any change in US foreign policy whoever wins the US election. This claim matches a well-established pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about global elites secretly ruling the world, and specifically a so-called "Deep State" in the United States. This narrative aims to question the legitimacy of democracy and Western institutions in general.

NATO curators control the remnants of the Ukrainian “fleet” and naval saboteurs

NATO curators control the remnants of the Ukrainian “fleet” and naval saboteurs. Ukraine’s army is prepared and used by the forces of the NATO military bloc.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation on Ukraine, the aggressive West, NATO encircling Russia and NATO belligerence. This is consistent with the narratives challenging Ukrainian statehood and painting the US and NATO as the puppet-masters of Ukrainian politics.

Ukraine is a sovereign state. Neither the US nor NATO controls Ukraine. Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity continue to be violated by acts of aggression by the Russian armed forces since February 2014. Despite NATO having refuted such claims many times, pro-Kremlin propaganda systematically states that NATO planned to create military bases on the territory of Ukraine: in Crimea, Donbas, the Sea of Azov. A bilateral treaty between Russia and Ukraine, signed in 2003 and ratified by Russia in 2004, governs the use of the Kerch Strait and the Sea of Azov, which in the treaty are considered to be the “internal waters” of both Russia and Ukraine. A treaty stipulates that agreement from each of the two littoral countries is required for warships from any other country to enter the internal sea.

UK special bodies can be implicated in Yushchenko, Skripals, and Navalny poisoning

The UK special services used to attack Russia long before the Skripals poisoning. The story of UK-based Strategic Communications Laboratory (SCL Group) which carried out disinformation campaigns against Russia since the early 1990s is one example. The SCL Group was involved in the Orange revolution events in Ukraine in 2004. The revolution succeeded thanks to strange poisoning of Viktor Yushchenko. Today Kyiv acknowledges that the poisoning never took place. One cannot rule out that the SCL Group was implicated in this and other poisonings, including the Skripals and some Russian activists.

Disproof

This is one of the multiple conspiracy theories around the Skripals poisoning which implicates the now-defunct UK-based private company SCL Group.

The poisoning of the former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has been confirmed in 2009 by The Lancet. According to this research, TTCD dioxin levels in Yushchenko`s blood were more than 50,000 times higher than normal. Also, the same research claims: “The dioxin used to poison Yushchenko could have been produced in numerous laboratories because it was a purified version that has no natural source”. There is no evidence to connect the poisoning to SCL Group, even though it is true that the Group has claimed to had helped the Orange Revolution in Ukraine in 2004.
