Greta Thunberg is a mouthpiece used by the lobbyists of green energy giants

Summary

The creators and sponsors of this “miracle in braids” have turned up the farce at the UN. Who knows how far they might push this poor teenager. Although she might not be that poor after all […]  She is just a mouthpiece used by the lobbyists of green energy giants who demand huge government subsidies.

Disproof

Conspiracy theory, based on recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about climate change and  Greta Thunberg.

In 2018 Greta Thunberg launched the "Fridays For Future" movement, encouraging students to skip school to demand action on climate change from their governments. There is no evidence to suggest links between her and the "green lobby".

The US has turned Ukraine into a puppet

Ukraine is an American project. They made their own puppet out of Ukraine, to use it how it goes.

Disproof

Recurrent pro-Kremlin narrative, challenging Ukrainian statehood. For example, pro-Kremlin media has claimed that Ukraine has become a vassal of Germany and Ukraine is under US control.

Ukraine is a sovereign state. Neither the US nor the EU countries control Ukraine. Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are respected by most of the free world but were violated by Russia in 2014.

Czechia intends to build hotels in Crimea

A delegation from Czechia arrived in Crimea. On the peninsula, visitors signed a number of investment documents with the leadership of the peninsula. Among other things, Czechia is going to develop the tourism industry in Crimea.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative attempting to portray a gradual acceptance of Crimea's position within the Russian Federation, especially by the West. Read similar cases here.

A group of Czech citizens actually visited annexed Crimea, but they were not part of an official delegation. Czechia dissociated itself from such visitors - they had neither the authority nor the mandate to negotiate on behalf of the government about any Czech investments in the economy of annexed Crimea. The trip of several Czech citizens to the peninsula is an exclusively private initiative, the Czech Foreign Ministry said. They called on their citizens to respect the laws of Ukraine.

Baltic states joined USSR in accordance with international law

The Baltic states joined the Soviet Union in accordance with norms of international law. Thus, the term ‘occupation’ cannot be used here, as no military actions took place. Also, the governments of the Baltic countries accepted the Soviet troops based on a clear agreement between them.

Disproof

A recurring attempt of historical revisionism aiming at justifying Soviet actions.

On 23 August 1939, the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany signed a non-aggression (Molotov-Ribbentrop) pact whose secret protocols divided the territories belonging to Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, and Romania into Soviet and Nazi spheres of influence. The Baltic States were not beneficiaries of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact. Like other countries mentioned in the pact, they lost their independence and territories. Soviet occupation of the Baltic States lasted for 50 years and resulted in mass deportations and repressions against local populations.
