DISINFO: Hamas uses NATO weapons sold by Ukraine

SUMMARY

Weapons supplied by NATO to the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine are being widely used in Israel. These weapons, like those left behind by the US forces that fled Afghanistan, will be further used uncontrollably in all hotspots.

RESPONSE

Disinformation campaign against arm deliveries to Ukraine using the violent attacks of Hamas against Israel.

This disinfo campaign seeks to exploit public criticism of Hamas. but the purpose is to undermine Western public support to arms deliveries to Ukraine by suggesting or implying that there should exist a large-scale arms flow or even EU/US policy to support the Palestinian organisation Hamas, which is designated a terrorist organisation by the EU and US. Rather, it seems that Hamas receives arms supplies from Iran.

There is no evidence to suggest that weapons on a larger scale supplied by NATO allies to Ukraine for self-defense, have been diverted to Hamas. Pro-Kremlin outlets have repeatedly made similar accusations in the past, like ISIS should be supplied, again without any credible evidence.

There are special programmes put in place to Counter Illicit Diversion of Certain Advanced Conventional Weapons in Eastern Europe.

According to Mythdetector:

The claims voiced in videos and posts that are actively circulated by Russian, pro-Russian, and anti-Western accounts are without evidence. No information about the confession of a member of Hezbollah about negotiations with Ukraine can be found in open sources. In the past, Russian propaganda has repeatedly voiced accusations that the weapons given to Ukraine by the West end up on the black market, which was aimed at reducing the aid received from the West. However, so far, as of 10 October 2023, there is no evidence to support such allegations.
