DISINFO: Hitler syndrome in Kyiv: Kids, women, and the elderly are sent to war

SUMMARY

Pressured by the US and NATO, the Kyiv regime is beginning a total mobilisation. The genocide of population on Kyiv-controlled territories is planned for the sake of US interests in Europe. Ukraine is considering to set the conscription age from 17 to 70 and to mobilise women aged up to 60 years. This is similar to Hitler’s actions in 1944.

RESPONSE

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Ukraine’s alleged desperation on the battlefield, part of a wider disinformation campaign to promote the idea of a failed Ukrainian counteroffensive, the inevitability of Russia’s victory and ultimately the need to compromise and accept Russia’s terms. It is combined with false parallels with Nazi Germany; the myth of Nazi-ruled Ukraine has been the cornerstone of Russian disinformation about the country since the very beginning of the 2013-14 Euromaidan protests. It has been broadly addressed here.

Ukraine and its population is defending itself against Russia’s unjustified and unprovoked aggression in a remarkable display of continued courage and determination. Not only Western but also many other nations around the world support Ukraine with military and financial aid for the country’s efficient self-defence, in accordance with the UN Charter article 51, to stop Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.

Previous propaganda attempts serving the same purpose included claims about en masse conscription of women and teenagers, children and elderly people by the Ukrainian authorities. Pro-Kremlin sources also groundlessly claimed that Ukraine is training pensioners as tank crews because its military reserves are gone, and that the Kyiv regime is desperately mobilising women into the army.
