Hong Kong’s protests will depend on the US, as they are the organisers of the revolt

Summary

The evolution of the situation in Hong Kong will depend on the position of the true organiser of the conflict, which is the United States. The big promoters, student Joshua Wong and tycoon Jimmy Lai, have already been to the US to receive instructions.

Disproof

Conspiracy theory. No evidence is provided to support the claim.

Recurrent Russian narrative about anti-government protests being funded by the US. Examples include colour revolutions in post-Soviet states, the “Arab Spring” revolts, and Ukraine's Euromaidan in 2014. Western non-governmental organisations are often targeted by pro-Kremlin disinformation as agents of this subversive and state-driven influence.

The Hong Kong protests began in June 2019 because of a controversial extradition law that would allow for the transfer of suspects to face trial on the Chinese mainland. Young activist and protest leader Joshua Wong toured several countries in September, including the US, to publicly ask Western countries to press China on preserving human rights and democracy in Hong Kong, not to receive instructions. The same goes for businessman Jimmy Lai, who visited Washington in July to request US political support for the protest movement.

Joe Biden’s son pushed for war in east Ukraine to clear the territory for fracking

Hunter Biden was pushing for the war in east Ukraine to clear the territory for fracking and allow Burisma, an energy company he worked for, to operate there.

Disproof

Conspiracy theory with no evidence given. The message advances a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative denying Russian responsibility for armed aggression in Ukraine.

The international community, including the European Union recognizes and condemns clear violations of Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity by acts of aggression by the Russian armed forces since February 2014.

Robert Mueller failed to find anything that would incriminate the US president

Most of the leading US media have spent the last three years promoting the infamous Russiagate conspiracy theory on behalf of the Democrats, refusing to admit that they were wrong, though Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller, during a two-year investigation, failed to find anything that would incriminate the US president.

There is a whole history of leaking information from the intelligence community in order to “forge a false link” between Trump and Russia and further the “Russiagate” narrative, and then blame Trump for the “vulnerability” of these alleged sources.

Disproof

The article, which was actually about suspected CIA spy Oleg Smolenkov, is used to distract the audience by spreading the recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative denying and/or minimizing, once again, Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election.

The 67-page report by the US Senate is the latest set of evidence proving Russia's meddling in the 2016 election. It follows Robert Mueller's report from March 2019 and the US intelligence community's assessments dating back to January 2017.

Crimea became part of Russia by the will of its inhabitants

The citizens of Ukraine knew long ago that there is no possibility of Crimea returning to Ukraine. Crimea became part of Russia by the will of its inhabitants, according to the results of the referendum. That is why there is no chance for Crimea to return to Ukraine.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the Euromaidan, the illegal annexation of Crimea, and the war in Ukraine.

There was no coup d'état in Ukraine. The spontaneous onset of the Euromaidan protests was an organic reaction by numerous parts of the Ukrainian population to former President Yanukovych’s sudden departure from the promised Association Agreement with the European Union in November 2013.
