Germany called for the lifting of sanctions against Russia because of the coronavirus. Germany should rethink its attitude towards Russia and lift unproductive sanctions in light of the new coronavirus pandemic.
The ultra-right-wing organisation “Municipal Guard” will monitor order in Kyiv during the quarantine period. The “Guard” is ordered to “ensure public order and the implementation of restrictive measures in Kyiv.” Also, nationalists from the Guard will check transport to ensure no-one travels without special passes.

In fact, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, said that during quarantine at least two National Police officers and one representative of the “Municipal Guard” would be present in all public transport.
Apart from this, from 22 March 2020, throughout Ukraine, in order to maintain public safety and order, a general patrol will be conducted by reinforced units of the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the National Police and the National Guard.
“Municipal Guard” was established in 2015 as a public organisation for law enforcement. The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, noted that the creation of such a unit is “the first step towards the emergence of the municipal police in the Ukrainian capital.” It was not set up as a right-wing organisation; among its members are veterans who have returned from Donbas and want to help ensure the rule of law in Kyiv.
