Disinfo: In Ukraine, chocolate stocks decline, as soft drink rises

The gap between the soft drink Tarkhun and chocolate bars grows. The exit poll conducted by the Ukrainian Academy of Monitoring, Analysis and Forecast shows that by 1:00pm on April 21, 71.8% of voters voted for presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskyiy popularly known as “Green Tarkhun”, while 28.2% of the respondents chose “chocolate”, i.e., the current head of state Petro Poroshenko.

A recurring narrative on defaming the Ukrainian election and its candidates. Similar cases can be found here.

The website of the Ukrainian Academy of Monitoring, Analysis and Forecast, which is mentioned by the Russian state-owned site "Ukraina.ru", was registered on April 4, 2019, only a few weeks before the second round of the presidential election. There is no information about this organisation in any open databases.

Officially, there are three organisations that organise the “National exit poll 2019” in Ukraine: Democratic Initiatives Foundation, Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, and the Ukrainian Centre for Economic and Political Research.

Cases in the EUvsDisinfo database focus on messages in the international information space that are identified as providing a partial, distorted, or false depiction of reality and spread key pro-Kremlin messages. This does not necessarily imply, however, that a given outlet is linked to the Kremlin or editorially pro-Kremlin, or that it has intentionally sought to disinform. If Zelenskiy wins, US will influence him through Israel

No matter who will be new Ukraine’s president, US will totally control the country’s politics. Ihor Kolomoyskiy, Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s main sponsor, is fully under Israel’s control. Donald Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, have close relations with Israel, so they will influence Kolomoyskiy through Israel if they wish. In case Zelenskiy attempts to distance himself from Kolomoyskiy, American total influence will continue, as they control the IMF which gives loans to Ukraine.

Conspiracy theory, no evidence given about alleged Jared Kushner's high degree of control over Israeli policy-makers, about Israel's influence over Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoyskiy, or about Western influence over the Ukrainian electoral process. Recurring disinformation narrative about Western meddling in Ukraine's elections and Ukraine as a state under foreign control.

The US wants to separate Europe from Russia and dominate in the region

The US wants to separate Europe from Russia and dominate in the region. It had always been important for the US strategy (and before that for the world strategy of the British Crown) to separate Europe and Russia from each other, so that no Eurasian alliance would emerge. This would be the end of US global hegemony. From the Anglo-American point of view, domination of the Eurasian continent is enormously important.

Conspiracy theory and recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative on Western belligerence towards Russia.

Both the US and the EU are trying to keep open channels of communications with Russia, despite ongoing Russian disinformation attempts.

The Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoliy Matios fled the country: he is in conflict with Poroshenko

The Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoliy Matios fled Ukraine: he is in conflict with Poroshenko. Ostensibly, Anatoliy Matios passed the data on corruption in the sphere of defence, where Poroshenko’s protégés are involved, to journalists.

Chief Military Attorney Anatoliy Matios escaped Ukraine, because he is scared of criminal prosecution because of the case of crimes in the “Ukroboronprom” company.

The source of this piece of news about the Chief Military prosecutor of Ukraine escaping the country in the Ukrainian and Russian media is a Facebook post.

The Chief Military Attorney Anatoliy Matios debunked (video from 19:50) this himself during his joint press briefing with the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Hrytsak in Kyiv on April 17th.
