DISINFO: In Western post-modern society the “system” strives to keep people alone and isolated from each other in order to dominate them more effectively
SUMMARY
In Western post-modern society, the disintegration of the family and the breakdown of community is useful to the “system”, because the latter strives to keep people alone and isolated from each other in order to dominate them more effectively and to make them dependent on artificial needs. A despotic power system subjugates the masses with consumer goods, psychotropic drugs, and the use of new technologies as a tool of control and a source of ludic pleasure.
RESPONSE
Conspiracy theory. The article provides no evidence to support its claims. The article repeats a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative that seeks to discredit liberal democracies claiming that the latter are in reality totalitarian systems ruled by “globalist elites” and “shadow governments” that subjugate the masses by keeping people isolated from each other and that use new technologies to exercise pervasive control of society. The article also contains the disinformation theme spread by some pro-Kremlin outlets claiming that in Western societies the élites control the masses by means of consumerism, psychotropic drugs, and video-games. These narratives are consistent with the broad pro-Kremlin narrative portraying the West as a decadent and immoral society in which the family institution is collapsing and claiming that Western governments and “global élites” seek to deliberately undermine and destroy traditional family values. Read a similar case claiming that the élites want to end the emotional ties of the family by isolating parents from children and putting grandparents in residences for the elderly. This disinformation message appeared in the same publication as the claims that today’s post-modern society is inhabitated by weak feminised men, while women lost their femininity.
