Disinfo: Joe Biden will use US allies as tools or useful idiots

Summary

The National Security Strategic Guidance released by the Biden Administration wants to attract the faithful to go against China and Russia, to attract vassals disguised as allies. Many rubbed their hands with the arrival of Biden, but at the end there will be only one winner, the US, while its allies will be used as useful idiots: they will be only subjects or tools. Once it defeats its enemies, the US will prevail over its friends and the looting will go to the strongest because benefits are not shared.

Disproof

Recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative against the US and its allies, aiming to sow mistrust among members of the Transatlantic alliance and among the US and its partners all over the world. This disinformation piece is a direct reaction to the release of the US Interim National Security Strategic Guidance on March 3, 2021, which strongly focuses on reinforcing these alliances, a core goal of the Biden Administration. Contrary to the claim, the US doesn’t rule over these other governments, which are sovereign nations with their own policies and interests.

See other examples in our database, such as claims that Ukraine is ruled by Poles and Americans, that France is a puppet of the US, that Germany and Japan are occupied by the US, that Europe is a colony of the United States or that Georgia is under Western control.

This disinformation message appeared in the same TV programme as the claim that “The West created the Islamic State”.

Disinfo: The East Stratcom Task Force and "Bild" journalists carry out "secret orders" from Western intelligence services

The East Stratcom Task Force and "Bild" journalists carry out "secret orders" from Western intelligence services.

The similarities in names between the "Stratcom Dialogue" and institutions such as NATO's Stratcom, the Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence or the EU's East Stratcom Task Force are of course no coincidence, but rather an indication that the whining of incorrigible Russia-haters like Julian Röpcke about alleged Russian spies, who allegedly pose as journalists and carry out "secret orders" is just part of the usual mendacious whining of contemporaries who are so intensively connected to Western intelligence services that they already consider this parallel world as the true reality and strictly refuse to face the real world and consider all others as dangerous deviants.

Disproof

This message is a part of a broader Kremlin narrative accusing various European media and institutions of Russophobia and connections to secret services with the aim of eroding their credibility.

The East Stratcom Task Force and "Bild" journalists do not receive nor carry out "secret orders" from Western intelligence services. The East Stratcom Task Force was established following a mandate from the leaders of the European Union as a reaction to the post-2014 wave of Russian propaganda and disinformation aimed against the EU member states and other countries of the region.

Disinfo: Lithuanian politicians will use virtual police patrol against freedom of opinion

The hatred in Facebook splits Lithuanian society. Police reacted. Society will be watched by a virtual patrol.

<...>

The costs of the attack on freedom of opinion could be high not only for society but also for the authorities. People could not like this way to control society. Serfdom was abolished in Lithuania 150 years ago.

It is a pity that the Lithuanian police pushed to intimidate society. Shame on Lithuanian politicians who are afraid of a free society and are using a “cyber patrol” against it.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Lithuania, accusing state authorities of persecuting freedom of speech and opinion.

The initiative of a “virtual patrol” or “cyber patrol” was announced by the Lithuanian police at the beginning of March 2021. It is a preventative measure against hate speech on social networks. The “cyber patrol” will monitor online content, mark comments which violate Lithuanian law, and issue a warning to its authors.

Disinfo: Alleged poisonings of Skripal, Navalny were Western provocations against Russia

In the last three years, our so-called Western partners twice alleged that Russia used chemical weapons against individual targets - Sergei Skripal and Alexei Navalny.

There is obviously no evidence to support these provocations. On the contrary, there is evidence that these were deliberate, planned provocations. These tactics can be deployed in any context, and the West has been perfecting them in recent years.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative denying Moscow's involvement in the poisoning of Sergei Skripal and Alexei Navalny.

Moscow's involvement in the Skripal poisoning has been proven via a thorough investigation.
