Disinfo: Life in Western countries means living in dirt and constant fear, surrounded by criminals and homeless people

The most problematic issues in the US are very high housing prices and high criminal rates. Above all, many Americans live in constant fear of nuclear war and attack from the Russians. It is worth thinking a lot before emigrating from Russia to the Western countries to live in the dirt and constant fear, surrounded by criminals and homeless people.

This message is consistent with recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about the West's decline. Whereas the given publication focuses on adverse socio-economic factors, usually this narrative takes the form of criticism of the West from the 'moral values' perspective.

It contains the illogical conclusion and ungrounded generalisation aimed to discredit Western countries. Although the publication provides only (mostly ungrounded) US-related claims, it discourages people from moving to the 'West' implying that living conditions are generally unfavourable there.

The IMF has completely killed Ukrainian economy

The IMF cannot be a partner of Ukraine and it is killing the Ukrainian economy.

The main goal of the International Monetary Fund is to prevent the expansion of the economic crisis. The comprehensive reform program in Ukraine, supported by IMF loans, is aimed at restoring macroeconomic stability, promoting sustainable growth and strengthening economic governance and transparency.

Vox Ukraine notes that if Ukraine had not cooperated with the Fund at all, most likely the level of its economic development would now be lower, since the IMF provides not only loans, but also technical assistance, particularly, in the development of regulatory acts.

Victoria Nuland is one of the organisers of Euromaidan in 2014

Former US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland was denied a Russian visa, because she is one of the organisers of the Euromaidan in 2014.

The claim that Ms. Nuland is one of the organisers of Euromaidan in 2014 in Ukraine is a part of a recurring pro-Kremlin narrative that claims that protests were organised by foreign forces.

The Euromaidan protests were a spontaneous reaction among large parts of the Ukrainian population, ignited by the decision of former President Yanukovych not to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union in November 2013. More similar cases here.

Incident in the Kerch Strait was a Ukrainian provocation

Petro Poroshenko deliberately provoked incident in the Kerch Strait in order to impose martial law and to cancel the presidential election. Experts say that there is every reason to prosecute Poroshenko, but doubt that the case will be brought to an end.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation on Ukraine and Azov Sea that Ukrainian Navy deliberately violated Russian territorial waters during the Kerch strait incident, or that Petro Poroshenko instigated the provocation in Kerch Strait to extend his power.

On November 25, border patrol boats belonging to Russia’s FSB security service seized two small Ukrainian armoured artillery vessels and their crews after shooting at them, wounding several Ukrainian servicemen. Russia argued that they were in Russian waters. However, a bilateral treaty between Russia and Ukraine, signed in 2003 and ratified by Russia in 2004 governs the use of the Kerch strait and the Sea of Azov. The agreement states the stretch to be the “internal waters” of both Russia and Ukraine.
