Russophobia is thriving in today’s world. It is now necessary to show that Russians are the same fascists as Hitler, there’s a necessity to erase the heroic deeds of the Soviets. In Poland, the Baltic States, UK, the US we observe closing of Russian schools, accusations of starting the WW2, sanctions – all of it is Russophobia.
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinfromation narrative about Russophobia. By accusing Western societies of “Russophobia”, pro-Kremlin propaganda outlets downgrade criticism of Kremlin policies and actions to being somehow irrational and not worthy of a serious reply. At the same time, the term tries to turn the tables against the West, which in pro-Kremlin media is often depicted as a place where the fight against intolerance has gone too far.
