Disinfo: Migrants, not birds, brought West Nile Fever to the Czech Republic

Mainstream media are wrong in reporting that West Nile Fever, several cases of which have occurred in the Czech Republic recently, has been brought in by birds. An expert presents an alternative version claiming that the virus was brought in by migrants from Africa.

West Nile fever is caused by a virus transmitted by mosquitoes and whose reservoir includes wild birds and mosquitoes. Actually, person-to-person transmission of West Nile fever has not been reported. ecdc.europa.eu/en/west-nile-fever/facts/factsheet-about-west-nile-fever, Furthermore, the "expert" in question teaches programming at a university in Prague. He is also a vocal critic of censorship on the internet, as well as of migrants from Muslim countries. There is no information available as to his expertise in epidemiology and contagious diseases. The article builds on a narrative that migrants are dangerous and contagious.

Cases in the EUvsDisinfo database focus on messages in the international information space that are identified as providing a partial, distorted, or false depiction of reality and spread key pro-Kremlin messages. This does not necessarily imply, however, that a given outlet is linked to the Kremlin or editorially pro-Kremlin, or that it has intentionally sought to disinform. EUvsDisinfo publications do not represent an official EU position, as the information and opinions expressed are based on media reporting and analysis of the East Stratcom Task Force.

Czech politics are decided in Berlin

All levels of Czech politics are directed from Berlin. The German-Czech Future Fund (Deutsch-Tschechischer Zukunftsfonds) is a case in point, providing grants and funding to NGOs for programs supporting multiculturalism and inclusion. German NGOs, in cooperation with certain German schools, send representatives to the Czech Republic in order to indoctrinate Czech children through workshops and seminars – making them think positively about cohabiting with other ethnicities, especially the Arabs.

No evidence given. According to the German-Czech Future Fund, the organisation helps to build bridges between Germans and Czechs. It specifically promotes projects that bring together the people of both countries and provide insights into the common culture and history of the two countries. www.fondbudoucnosti.cz/de/uber-uns/uber-uns/,

Secret Czech project aims to end net neutrality in Europe

There is a secret project underway in the Czech Republic whose aim is to end net neutrality. Czech citizens will gradually be denied access to certain independent and/or alternative websites, thus ushering in an era of censorship.

No evidence given, conspiracy theory about the secret plan. Net neutrality has been approved by the EU in April 2016. eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=uriserv:OJ.L_.2015.310.01.0001.01.ENG&toc=OJ:L:2015:310:TOC,
