Disinfo: Moldovan doctors refuse to be vaccinated against COVID-19

Summary

Moldovan doctors refuse to be vaccinated against COVID-19. At a hospital in Chisinau, out of 20 medical staff working in the intensive care unit, only 3 agreed to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The rest of the medical staff argues that they do not want to be vaccinated because they do not trust the vaccine.

Disproof

In the context of the upcoming vaccination campaign in the Republic of Moldova, more and more misinformation appears in the public space that would announce the vaccine against COVID-19 as potentially dangerous.

The authors rely only on an anonymous source who allegedly said that they were doctors from a hospital in the capital, without mentioning in which medical institution they would work. Contacted by the Stopfals.md portal, the managers of the largest hospitals in Chisinau say that the statements in the article are speculative given that vaccines have not yet arrived in Moldova. Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about protests in Belarus and Russia. The EUvsDisinfo database contains almost 400 similar claims, attempting to describe protests anywhere in the world - from Venezuela to Hong Kong and currently in Russia- as a result of foreign involvement.

The protests in Belarus have continued for over six months, despite severe police repression. The protests erupted to contest the results of the presidential election in Belarus on the 9th of August, which were not monitored by independent expertsand are largely considered fraudulent by both international observers and a big part of Belarusian society. On 19 August 2020, the European Council called the Belarusian elections neither free nor fair. In October 2020, the EU-Council imposed sanctions against 40 individuals identified as responsible for repression and intimidation against peaceful demonstrators, opposition members and journalists in the wake of the 2020 presidential election in Belarus, as well as for misconduct of the electoral process.

On 8 February 2021, Latvia's broadcast regulator, the National Electronic Mass Media Council (NEPLP) suspended rebroadcasting of the Russian government-owned “Rossiya RTR” program in Latvia for a full year commencing on 15 February. The decision was taken because significant violations of the law had been identified, in connection with incitement of animosity and hatred, encouragement to engage in violence, and kindling military conflict.

EU is systematically destroying the ties with Russia

The EU is systematically destroying the ties with Moscow. The EU has cancelled all, without exception, mechanisms, set up in agreements on cooperation and partnership: the summits twice a year between the Russians government and the EU Commission and its chairman. Four areas to mutual projects for cooperation, more than 20 topics for dialogue on various sectors; the annual conference between the Russian MFA and representatives of the EU. Those sessions were intended to create a comprehensive overview of all vectors for Russian and EU mutual actions. All of this has been destroyed, but not by Russia.
