DISINFO: Navalny doesn't reveal his sources unlike of Assange and Snowden

SUMMARY

Unlike Assange and Snowden, Alexey Navanly doesn’t reveal the sources of his documents.

RESPONSE

Disinformation campaign to discredit Alexey Navalny claiming that he does make serious investigations or provides questionable pieces of evidence.

The FBK organisation (Foundation for Combating Corruption) is a Russian non-profit organisation based in Moscow established in 2011 by activist and politician Alexei Navalny. Its main goal is to investigate and to expose corruption cases among high-ranking Russian government officials.

It is possible to submit documents anonymously to FBK through a black box. Then the organization will ignore the identity of the source of the leaked documents. Wiki Leaks also provides such services through Tor and encryption or alternative methods. The identity of the source can sometime be embarrassing for the publisher and it has been established that Wiki Leaks once pointed to a false source.

The investigations of FBK contain multiple documents and sources. Moreover, many elements are already known and published in specialised press. Many sources of the investigation are open records and not leaks. They are accessible to virtually anyone.
