DISINFO: Navalny is a puppet of three Western intelligence agencies

SUMMARY

In our episode last week, Nastya [Anastasia Popova] gave a brilliant reportage from a hyper-luxurious villa provided in Germany to Alexei Navalny, who voiced the original English voice-over of a fake movie about a fake palace. Navalny was then used by the special services of the United States, Germany, the UK as a talking puppet. And in order to increase the doll’s self-esteem, he was settled right in the palace.

RESPONSE

A recurrent narrative about Russian Alexey Navalny's video blog on Putin's secret palace alleging that it is a fake investigation about a fake palace.

This 2021 movie is largely based on a 2011's testimony given then in an open letter by a Russian whistleblower Sergey Kolesnikov who said he was involved in financial schemes behind the palace. Sergey Kolesnikov provided financial evidence and audiotapes to support his words. Since then, the subject was addressed and investigated by many media organizations in Russia and abroad, while the Kremlin was ignoring media requests. The official denial by Putin that he has such a palace followed only in 2021 after Alexey Navalny's movie reached a big audience in Russia and worldwide.

No evidence is provided as to how and why "special services of the US, Germany and the UK used" Navalny.

Navalny was poisoned by nerve agent Novichok in Russia in August 2020, as OPCW has established. Upon survival after having passed several weeks in a coma, Navalny has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison for violating parole from a 2014 sentence and is facing further jail time as the government presses new charges.
