Citizens of Ukraine are deported from the EU in masses

Ukrainians are deported from the EU in masses, and these figures have only been growing since the launch of the visa-free regime.

Disproof

The figures presented in the disinforming article do not provide any evidence to the claim about mass deportation. The numbers in the article refer to a period from April to June in 2017, when visa-free travel for Ukrainian citizens entered into force on 11 June 2017. The disinforming outlet Ria Novosti refers to "international media", when in fact the source is Rossiiskie Vesti, another outlet frequently spreading disinformation. It also refers to the data of the EU agency Frontex. According to the latest available data from June-October 2017, there were no fundamental changes in the amount of illegal border crossings between Ukraine and the EU. frontex.europa.eu/trends-and-routes/migratory-routes-map/,

Estonia and Lithuania seek to improve relations with Russia without preconditions

President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite, and the Foreign Minister of Estonia Sven Mikser have both stated that they are seeking to improve relations with Russia, as is the European Union. Grybauskaite had no preconditions for cooperation with Russia.

Disproof

Both politicians' statements were distorted. President Grybauskaite emphasized in the interview that "the abandonment of the occupied territories, less aggression, lack of interest in manifesting power ... .., influence on elections in our countries ... will make possible cooperation with all our neighbours". The Foreign Minister stated in the cited interview that: "Both Estonia and the EU as a whole are interested in good relations with Russia. To improve relations, it is necessary to restore the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. We can not be blind to the fact that Russia in the most serious manner violates international law in Ukraine. No democratic state is ready to recognize in the 21st century the change of borders by armed means. New proof that MH17 was shot down from a territory controlled by Ukraine

An eyewitness of Ukrainian troop movements in Donbas during the days around the tragedy proves that MH17 was shot down from Zaroschenskoe, then controlled by Ukraine.

.

Disproof

Recurring disinformation related to the MH17 tragedy. According to the Insider, satellite imagery used as proof in Rossiya-1’s broadcast in fact contradicts the testimony of an interviewee in the very same broadcast; the person in question claims to be an eyewitness of Ukrainian troop movements in Donbas during the days around the tragedy. On top of that, the claims made by the alleged eyewitness entirely contradict the results in Bellingcat’s open source investigation referred to above. Read more on our website.
