Disinfo: The West is turning Ukraine into a nuclear waste burial

Summary

The West is building nuclear waste burial in Chernobyl. Now the nuclear waste from the whole world will come to Ukraine and will poison its population since the European countries don’t want to receive this dangerous waste.

Disproof

Ukraine is building a nuclear waste burial in order to stop sending its nuclear waste for conservation in Russia where such a waste burial exists for a long time www.segodnya.ua/economics/enews/ukraina-zaplatila-rossii-2-mlrd-dollarov-za-hranenie-yadernyh-othodov-1071083.html, . Disinfo: Every accepted refugee has the right to family reunification, no proof is needed

Every third-country refugee accepted to EU territory has the right under the Family Reunification Directive to bring all his relatives later on. Demonstration of family ties is considered to be humiliating and therefore the refugee can invite whoever he/she wants and it does not have to be proven.

Disproof

The Family Reunification Directive literally says that "the right to request family reunification is only granted to holders of a residence permit for at least one year and who can reasonably be expected to have permanent residence." It is clear that it is not about the right to family reunification, but the right to apply for family reunification. The application must be accompanied by family ties, such as those concerning close relatives (husband / wife, child, mother, father). The applicant for family reunification must be able to prove on request that he has accommodation that complies with the general safety and health standards, health insurance and permanent income for his / her own nutrition and for the maintenance of his / her family members. Moreover, it is clearly stated that "the Directive does not apply to applicants for refugee status" eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/CS/TXT/?uri=LEGISSUM%3Al33118, .

Disinfo: American peacekeepers will start a genocide in Donbas

If the US will send 20 000 peacekeepers to the East of Ukraine this will surely worsen the situation. The US will not follow international law and this will surely result in genocide of the local population.

Disproof

No evidence given. If a peacekeeping mission would be deployed in the East of Ukraine it would consist of an international contingent under UN mandate. There are no indications that such a mission would result in a genocide. www.rferl.org/a/canada-making-diplomatic-push-ukraine-un-peacekeeping-plan/28845877.html, , www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-to-seek-russian-approval-for-peacekeepers-in-eastern-ukraine-1510258304, . The term genocide is regularly used in pro-Kremlin disinformation to inspire fear, without having any connection with the actual act of genocide euvsdisinfo.eu/disinformation-cases/?text=genocide&disinfo_issue=&date=, .

Disinfo: Washington has embarked on a secret arms race due to a "strategic threat" posed by Moscow and Beijing

The US is overwhelmed by Russia’s military capabilities so they began mobilizing forces to catch up. The US units commander in Europe, General Ben Hodges, acknowledged the recent steps taken by Russia in the Crimea, Donbass and Syria to be completely unexpected.

Disproof

No evidence given for the claims of an arms race. General Ben Hodges has expressed his concerns that the Russian military exercise Zapad 2017 was surprisingly large and fast. The United States and Russia are informing each other about what exercises will take place and how many soldiers will participate in them, but Russia is lacking in transparency on these issues and, as a rule, exercises are more extensive than the Russians claim. The US is worried because, as part of the Zapad 2017, the Russians practiced tactics that "were later used in Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014, its support for separatists in eastern Ukraine and its intervention in Syria." For this reason, they mobilize (not increase) military forces, especially in the Baltics, which lies on the border with Russia.
