Disinfo: Only Navalny’s entourage may be interested in his death

Summary

The situation around Navalny and his hospitalization is used to put political pressure on Russia. The West staged a show with the delivery of an aircraft to transport Navalny to Germany.

Only Navalny’s entourage may be interested in his death.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative on Navalny poisoning. There is no evidence that Alexey Navalny's entourage would be interested in his death.

The Berlin-based Cinema for Peace Foundation has arranged the transportation of Navalny to Germany for humanitarian reasons.

Similar narrative as in the case of Skripal, based on conspiracies, denials and fabrication in order to cover up Russia's responsibility. Russian propaganda has long been pursuing the claims that the Skripal case was made up to justify sanctions against Russia and was an example of Russophobia.

Background:

On August 20 the prominent Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny fell ill during a flight and the plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Omsk, where doctors said that he was in a coma and that they were trying to save his life. Since then he has been transferred to Berlin and is receiving treatment at Berlin's Charite Hospital.

On September 3, 2020, the German government published a statement that described how a military laboratory, certified by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), had found traces of the Novichok nerve agent in samples taken from Navalny. Later, German Chancellor Angela Merkel gave a special briefing. She told reporters that “There is unequivocal proof of the presence of this agent in the samples. It is therefore clear that Alexei Navalny is the victim of a crime.” The German government has briefed its allies in the European Union and NATO and plans to provide information about its findings to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

The European Union condemned the poisoning of Alexei Navalny in the strongest possible terms.

Read similar cases claiming that the US hopes that the Navalny case will lead to the cancellation of Nord Stream 2, that the West will falsely accuse Russia of poisoning Navalny, as with Skripal and Litvinenko and that the West has an interest in the death of Navalny to launch a new wave of sanctions against Russia.

The UN admits that Crimea is Russian

The UN recognised Crimea as Russian, naming them the state responsible for supplying water to the peninsula. The official representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Elizabeth Throssell, said that Russia “bears the main responsibility for ensuring access to water for the protected population of Crimea,” thereby recognising the peninsula as the territory of the Russian Federation.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the illegal annexation of Crimea.

Crimea is a part of Ukraine and was illegally annexed by Russia. The UN did not recognise the Russian status of the temporarily occupied Crimea or any Russian representatives from the peninsula. The annexation has been condemned by the UNGA. Moreover, the UN Monitoring Mission in Ukraine insists that, given the annexation of the Crimean Peninsula, it is Russia that is responsible for ensuring civilian access to water in Crimea.

From carnival to civil war: Belarus is only a step away

The main result of the protests in Belarus is that the “angry townspeople” were imperceptibly brought to the line beyond which lies the darkness of civil massacre. This stage of “colour revolutions” is called the desacralisation of power – when the guards of law are moulded (not without their participation) into an image of the enemy. The Telegram channel NEXTA was both a coordinator, an ideologue, and a provocateur here. And now it openly directs the crowd to clashes.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Belarus and colour revolutions.

The protests in Belarus erupted to contest the results of the presidential election in Belarus on the 9th of August, which are considered fraudulent by a large part of Belarusian society. The European Union has also stated that the elections were neither free nor fair.

98% of French media are conspiracy-prone because of their Russophobia

An analysis of 56 leading French media, shows a massive mainstream conspiracy based on a hatred of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

98% of the French press have republished, without checking, a certain number of statements relating to the Russia-Gate thesis. And when this thesis of Russian meddling has been torn to pieces by the various reports and the various American studies, many French mainstream journalists have refrained from admitting their mistake.

Some even consider that a collusion has always been established when it wasn’t the case. There is Russophobia among some journalists because they need an enemy. The dominant oligarchic class inside the EU needs a devil at the gates of Europe.

Moreover, countries like Russia and China do not accept a new world order dominated by imperialist powers.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative denying Russian meddling in elections and calling any attempt to denounce them as Russophobia and conspiracy theories.

Extensive evidence confirms that Russia did meddle in the 2016 US presidential elections, specifically aiming to damage Hillary Clinton's campaign and aid Republican candidate Donald Trump. In the US, 126 millions of users were reached by Russian operatives, 29 millions from them have seen the content "directly".
