Disinfo: EU plans to destroy vineyards in Romania, the next one will be Republic of Moldova

EU member states are lobbying for the adoption of a European directive on the voluntary destruction of vineyards in some countries, including Romania. This happens under the pressure of countries with centuries-old traditions of viticulture, especially French farmers, who suffer from overproduction and believe that their incomes in the EU market have significantly decreased because of competition with the newcomers. This is one of the most revealing examples of how the EU imposes its rules to those countries where there is corruption and “obedient” politicians.

Disproof

Contacted by Stopfals.md. the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development denied this information. The ministry declared that the EU funds contribute to the development of this area and over 30,000 hectares of vineyards have been replanted. The European Parliament underlined that there is no such directive that would require the destruction of vineyards, and no call for it from France. The EU's financial allocation for the Romanian wine sector is 47.7 millions euro per year.

Disinfo: The Czech Republic has violated human rights and international conventions by handing over alleged hacker Evgenij Nikulin to the US

All responsibility for the release of Nikulin is borne by Czech Justice Minister Robert Pelikan, who ruled on the release of Nikulin to the US. However, Pelikan violated human rights and international conventions, because he had made a decision on the release at the time when Evgeni Nikulin was still in the Czech Republic’s asylum protection regime.

The Prague City Court, in the same month, refused Nikulin to be entitled to humanitarian asylum in the Czech Republic. Nikulin's lawyer, however, filed a cassation complaint with the Supreme Administrative Court and insisted that Minister Pelikan should wait for a cassation complaint. However, the Prague City Court confirmed that the decision of Minister Pelikan was in full compliance with the law.
