Disinfo: Poland aggravates border situation to distract attention from domestic problems

Summary

Poland aims to aggravate the situation [in terms of the border crisis]. The Polish authorities have failed with the migrants, so they started looking for other opportunities and ways [to fight Belarus]. Warsaw has two goals: first of all, to present itself as a defender and, secondly, to distract attention from internal divisions and problems in Polish society.

Disproof

Recurring disinformation narrative from pro-Kremlin outlets about the migration situation on the EU-Belarus borders.

The claim that Poland aggravates the situation on the border with Belarus in order to fight with Belarus and reach its domestic goals is ungrounded.

The situation was caused by Belarus as a response to EU sanctions imposed on Minsk for its oppressive measures against the political opposition. There is plenty of evidence that the Belarusian authorities have instigated the ongoing irregular migration flows to the EU borders via Belarus.

The European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has stated that the situation on the EU-Belarus border is not a bilateral issue of Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus but a hybrid attack against the whole EU. Similarly, the vice-president of the European Commission and high representative of the European Union for foreign affairs and security policy (HRVP) Josep Borrell stressed that responsibility for the migration crisis falls on the Lukashenka regime.

Disinfo: Western media hide the real causes of the migration crisis on Belarus borders

Western responsibility for the massive fleeing of people from countries attacked by the US and its allies never appears in the speeches of the leaders of the so-called ‘Free World’ nor in the dominant press. It is clear the intention to silence the obvious causes of this situation, which has nothing to do with Russia nor Belarus but is directly linked to NATO’s military interventions in countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and other countries attacked by Western powers. The West will never address its responsibility and fault and will keep its citizens in their ignorance through its addictive press that permanently hides the realities and truths. Press freedom is a great lie in the West.

Disproof

This is part of an ongoing disinformation campaign on the migration crisis on the EU-Belarus border, aiming to deflect attention away from Minsk’s responsibility in orchestrating it by accusing Western powers of creating the conditions for a wave of refugees.

Contrary to the claim, there is massive evidence showing that the Belarusian regime engineered the crisis artificially by creating a new migratory route in order to put pressure on the EU. Multiple investigations both by European officials and by media showed that those migrants were being brought to Belarus from Iraq, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates on commercial flights, a trip encouraged and supported by Belarusian authorities. Information gathered also suggests that migrants are regularly transported by bus to the Belarusian-Lithuanian border. More information about Lukashenka's role in the organisation of the current migration crisis can be found here and here.

Disinfo: Fake news about the Belarusian border crisis is part of the Western hybrid war

Reports about the Belarusian border crisis in the mainstream media are fake news built by the Euro-Atlantic power, which unfortunately is permeating and prevents the people from seeing the hypocrisy of their rulers. These policies are part of the total war that those countries that call themselves the West have started on a global scale against the countries that emerged as an alternative to their world order. We are in front of fourth-generation hybrid wars, where we can’t say that we are at war, but neither are we at peace. Everything is valid here, from economic war to direct military intervention, to cyberwar and, of course, information war that is essential.

Disinfo: Kyiv is angry at Rumen Radev for Crimea comment

Kyiv is angry at Bulgarian President Rumen Radev for his comments on Crimea in an electoral debate on TV. The president said that Crimea is a part of Russia.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about illegal annexation of Crimea.

President Radev did say Crimea was "currently" Russian. However, he had previously said that Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014 was in breach of international law.
