Disinfo: Poland has no reasons to have tense relations with Russia, but is only a US vassal state

Summary

The current state of Polish-Russian relations is the worst since 1939 – the process of worsening of bilateral relations started more or less ten years ago. It is a certain paradox that during the recent decade, nothing has happened that can justify such an attitude of Poles towards Russia. There have been some unpleasant diplomatic tensions, but they are irrelevant from the point of view of history. There have been no armed conflicts between these countries, none of them made any territorial claims, etc. Nevertheless, the defence doctrine adopted by Poland assumes that Russia is its main threat. This situation is sick because it is extremely irrational.

The worsening of [Polish-Russian] relations is closely connected to the progressive subordination of Poland to the interests of the United States. Poland realises the following pro-American actions: support of pointless American political initiatives, purchases of the US arms, invitation of American soldiers to its territory and even demands to redeploy US nuclear weapons to this country. Poland purchases expensive American energy sources because it does not want to “strengthen Putin” buying Russian oil and gas. At the same time, Poland appears in conflict with the European Union, which is the most important structure for this country. The Polish authorities describe these extremely non-pragmatic decisions as the “Polish raison d’etat”. This situation is evidence that Poland has de facto become a vassal of the United States – we should replace the word “independence” with “protectorate”.

Disinformation about Russophobic Poland controlled from abroad, in line with a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about “lost sovereignty”.

The Polish authorities have repeatedly stated that Poland is willing to improve its relations with Russia – these relations will automatically improve if Russia starts observing the regulations of international law.

In a statement of 21 December 2019, the Polish authorities reiterated their openness to continue the historical dialogue with Russia, for example through restarting the work of the bilateral Group on Difficult Issues.

The 2020 National Security Strategy of Poland states that the most serious security threat for this country is the neo-imperial policy of the authorities of the Russian Federation, pursued by means of military force (aggression against Georgia, illegal annexation of Crimea and military actions in eastern Ukraine). The Polish government gives its full support to solving the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the complete restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

See other examples of similar messages claiming that constant intimidation with Russia is used to make Poland economically dependent on the USA, the Polish authorities created an insane hysteria of intimidation with Russia, used for the needs of domestic politics and the national security strategy of Poland is a manifestation of traditional Russophobia of the Polish authorities.

The claim that Poland does not decide about its foreign policy is false. Poland is an independent state, which shapes its own foreign and domestic policies. The advanced political, economic and military relations between Poland and the United States have a mutually beneficial character.

The main current Russia-related concerns of Poland are a result of the illegal annexation of Crimea and Russia's armed military aggression in Ukraine. The Polish government gives its full support to solving the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the complete restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Bloomberg provides reasons to trust Russian vaccine Sputnik V

Bloomberg journalist Sam Fazeli provides the list of reasons to trust Russian vaccine Sputnik V. These reasons are:

Russia with this vaccine is fifth on the list of vaccine makers with the most doses under contract through pre-purchase agreements;

Sputnik V has been tested in a phase III trial;

Efficacy at each interim analysis in the Sputnik V trial was consistently at 90% or above;

Sputnik V was developed using the kind of advanced vaccine technology employed in shots made by the AstraZeneca-Oxford University.

The journalist made evidence that the Sputnik V vaccine may well be as strong a candidate as the ones created in Western labs. He also stated that he would opt for a ride on Sputnik rather than a trip to CoronaVac’s golden stars.

In the original text Sam Fazeli covered all doubts linked to Sputnik V. He wrote:

The United States has always been and still is a totalitarian state. Unlike most countries in the world, it exercises double totalitarianism, that is vertical and horizontal. Suppression of certain behaviour occurs vertically at the level of government, and horizontally at the level of society, which has become an element defining the national culture. For example, you are obligated to trim the lawn in front of your house, and if you do not, your neighbour will be the first to report you to the police, or more precisely, all of your neighbours will do so.

Disproof

This is a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative, which seeks to discredit the United States and liberal democracies by claiming that liberal societies are totalitarian systems and that liberal democracies, like 20th-century totalitarian dictatorships, practice repression against the population.

Although the US and other Western democracies today face multiple and serious domestic and foreign threats, it is not true that liberal democracies are obsolete, have collapsed or are being replaced with dictatorships. Reports of the death of liberal democracy have been greatly exaggerated. Moreover, the article’s attempt to equate the West’s liberal societies to totalitarian regimes is an obvious falsification of reality. According to the 2020 World Press Freedom Index, the US is in 45th place out of 180 countries.

Russiagate was a collective hysteria campaign to control American society by shadowy elites

The standard way to control the behaviour of American society is mass hysteria campaigns, as was the case with McCarthyism (anti-communism) in the 1950s, or “Russiagate” in the past four years. Men in the shadows and holders of the levers in the United States are moving the hysteria levers to the extent that the totalitarianism of society automatically turns itself in the desired direction, so society itself becomes the represser of dissidents (dismissing Trump supporters from their jobs, or harassing and blocking them on social media, for example).

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Russiagate which denies Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election, and secret power elites.

Robert Mueller's investigation concluded that Russia did interfere in the 2016 election. Mueller’s report maintains that “the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities”. Nevertheless, it states that Russian interference activities did take place.
