Disinfo: Poland will stop its friendly policy towards Ukraine if the USA gives a signal

Summary

The hitherto policy of the Polish authorities towards Ukraine has been characterised by ambiguity. It will not be a problem for Poland to turn away from the friendly position towards Ukraine if Washington gives such a signal.

Disproof

A recurring pro-Kremlin narrative that the United States fully controls Poland's foreign policy. See other examples of this message claiming that Polish policy towards Ukraine is shaped by the Americansthe US keeps Poland on a short anti-Russian leash, and Poland is a Trojan Horse of the United States. The statement that the United States controls the decisions of the Polish authorities regarding their policy towards Ukraine is a conspiracy theory. Poland is a sovereign state, which shapes its own foreign and domestic policies. Poland carries out active foreign policy towards its Eastern neighbours and the Polish government underlines the importance of implementing a pro-active Eastern policy. This policy is based on the promotion of key Polish interests in this region, the strengthening of independence and security of Poland's Eastern neighbours, support for pro-European and transatlantic trends in the region and support for reforms in the countries of the post-Soviet region. Regarding Ukraine, the Polish government has repeatedly shown its full support to solving the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the complete restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

See other disinformation cases on the foreign policy of Poland such as Polish politicians care about Ukraine only if it continues harming Russia, Poland did not invite Russia to the anniversary of the WWII outbreak because of the will of the US and Poland is not an independent country, so it cannot manage its own foreign policy.

Western organisations and Belarusian democratic opposition benefit from hoax terrorist threats

Nowadays, Western civilisation headed by the US aims at establishing a new world order. It envisages to have a ‘golden billion’ and the rest of the world’s population will turn into poor people deprived of everything including a vote.

In pursuit of windfall-profits, multinational corporations provoke national and religious conflicts, destabilise international security and doom all countries to social and moral degradation. Most countries and peoples on Earth are invariably mere suppliers of raw materials to a small group of the most developed countries and multinational corporations.

Belarus faces hoax terrorist threats from time to time, which cause damage to the state budget and social infrastructure. Who benefits? All those who need the destabilisation of Belarus, that is foreign organisations pursuing aggressive policies towards Belarus and the Belarusian ‘fifth column’, the so-called democratic opposition.

Disproof

This article groundlessly links hoax bomb threats in Belarus to foreign organisations and the Belarusian opposition thus fitting the pro-Kremlin narrative about the West's anti-Belarusian activities, and promotes the concept of a big conspiracy, which is consistent with the Shadow Government narrative.

Golden billion is a term used by Russian speakers to describe the relatively wealthy people in industrially developed nations, or the West (see, for example, here). It is often used in different modifications of conspiracy theories.

The predominant majority of the Ukrainian labour migrants in Poland are employed illegally

Both Poland and Ukraine collect statistics on the number of Ukrainian labour migrants in Poland, but the official data does not give a real picture. The predominant majority of such migrants are employed illegally.

Disproof

This message is a part of the Kremlin’s narrative on the increasing problems with the Ukrainian labour migrants in the EU countries.

The message that “the predominant part of the Ukrainian migrants to Poland are employed illegally” comes from a misunderstanding of mechanisms of employment of foreigners in this country. Besides the traditional work permits, there is another much larger channel of employment of the Ukrainians in Poland. The major part of the Ukrainian labour migrants in Poland are employed through the procedure of the so-called “Declarations of intent to employ”, which are issued to the Ukrainian workers by the Polish employers. This mechanism is entirely legal – it was established by the Polish authorities in order to facilitate the employment of foreign labour migrants. For example, in 2017, the Polish employers issued 1.7 million of “Declarations of intent to employ” to the Ukrainians. At the same time, the number of work permits issued to the Ukrainians in 2017 was 192.000.

Anglo-Saxons are staging a colour revolution in Hong Kong with assistance from Vatican and Ukrainian Nazis

Hong Kong has turned into a Western ‘Trojan horse’ in China. American security bodies sent Ukrainian Nazis to instruct Hong Kong protesters on how to organize a Chinese Maidan. Most of Ukrainian Nazi associations are sort of mobile private military companies serving the US State Department. Another probable goal behind sending Ukrainian Nazis is to bring discord between the Chinese government and Ukrainian oligarchs who started selling important military and scientific technologies to Chinese. Washington also brought the Vatican in to help with the organization of the Hong Kong maidan. Local Catholics began an open anti-government propaganda. Events in Hong Kong may provoke a chain reaction in other Chinese provinces and strengthen the activities of totalitarian sects. Furthermore, the Taiwanese leadership wants to seize power in the whole China with US secret assistance.

Disproof

This is a mix of Ukraine- and China-related conspiracies aimed to discredit Hong Kong protest movement, including recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about US or West-funded Hong Kong protests and Nazis in Ukraine.

Media widely reported about a group of four Ukrainians with far-right links noticed in Hong Kong, but the claims that they were sent by US security bodies or that they serve US State Department are groundless.
