Polish President is a scoundrel who threatens Russia with fighter-jets

Summary

Polish president is a scoundrel, who offended Russia. And if that is not enough, he is threatening Russia with fighters-jets. Russia needs to take appropriate measures, for example place even more fighter jets and missiles in Kaliningrad. Because that is the only language Poland understands.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about belligerent Poland and West encircling Russia.

The disinformation message appeared after the meeting of President of Poland Andrzej Duda and US President Donald Trump and the signing of an agreement which will increase the number of US rotational military forces of Poland. The United States and Poland are NATO allies, Poland is a sovereign state, which determines its security and defence policy.

Russia has given Poland its independence

It is unforgivable how Poles misrepresent history and try at all times to humiliate Russia. Poland has never been humiliated as a part of the Russian empire. Russia has given Poland its independence. And when Poland was a member of the Warsaw Pact, Russia was giving Poland everything – fuel for heating, oil, industry.

Disproof

Manipulation of historical facts to downplay and justify Soviet aggression towards Poland.

In 1918 Poland restored its independence from the German (Prussia), Austrian and Russian empires after three partitions and 123 years of not being present on the world's maps. Independence of Poland was one of the postulates in Woodrow Wilson's 14 points declaration after the WWI and guaranteed by the Treaty of Versailles in 1919.

The USA gives the Ukrainian capital a “new name”

The USA gives the Ukrainian capital a “new name”.

The United States Board on Geographic Names has decided to make orthographic changes to the word ‘Kiev’. The American authorities unanimously decided to modify the name of the Ukrainian capital. Now, among other things, ‘Kyiv’ is to be written at airports and international organisations instead of ‘Kiev’.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about the US relations with Ukraine and Ukrainian statehood.

The USA did not give Ukrainian capital a "new name". The United States Board on Geographic Names considered the appeal of Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chaly and unanimously decided to remove ‘Kiev’ as a conventional name and to recognise only one official spelling – ‘Kyiv’, as the correct name for the capital of Ukraine.

Russia will not return South Ossetia and Abkhazia to Georgia and the Crimea to Ukraine because this would violate the principle of self-determination of peoples

Russia will not return South Ossetia and Abkhazia to Georgia and will not return Crimea to Ukraine because this would violate the principle of self-determination of peoples agreed to in Helsinki in 1975.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation on South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Crimea.

Although Russia claimed to act only as a “peacekeeper” between Georgia and the two secessionists republics, Russia provided military, financial and logistical support to South Ossetia and Abkhazia, violating the international norms that regulate the behavior of a peacekeeping force within a country.
