Disinfo: Dutch media reports how hungry Muscovites have to eat rats because of sanctions

The Dutch media reports how hungry Muscovites have to eat rats because of sanctions.

Disproof

No evidence given. The article that Ria Novosti refers to was published by a Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant in November 2016. It tells how Russians are reviving their traditional kitchen after the embargo on imports of most of the agricultural products from the EU, US and other countries that Russia adopted as a reaction to the sanctions the EU and the US imposed against Russia. One of the products that has now made a comeback is nutria that in Dutch is called a "rivierrat". Further debunking by the Insider.

Disinfo: Despite the fact that Moscow is constantly demonstrating readiness for partnership, NATO continues to see an enemy in the Russian Federation

Despite the fact that Moscow is constantly demonstrating readiness for partnership, NATO continues to see an enemy in the Russian Federation. Russia has refused to give up its sovereignty (as the West has demanded) for the benefit of peace. The West therefore rejects any Russian attempts for dialogue. The West is constantly scaring Europeans by the Russian invasion, which is unrealistic and fictional. The aim is to install fear in people, justifying the increase in the personnel capacities and in the “Western military apparatus” budget.

Disproof

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization has suspended some practical joint actions with Russia as a result of Russia's aggressive policy towards Ukraine. However, the NATO-Russia Council, which serves as a platform for Russian-Alliance relations, was never suspended and three meetings were held in 2016. In addition, NATO proposed more frequent meetings and intensified negotiations to make the Russian-Alliance relationship more transparent. Interviews also take place at other levels: in March of this year, the Chairman of the Military Committee, General Peter Pavel, telephoned with the Russian Chief of Defence General Valery Gerasimov. In addition, Vladimir Zhirinovsky (leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia) has made threats directed against the Baltic states, which he still considers to be integral parts of Russia saying that their disintegration was unlawful and therefore "there is no Baltic countries". Disinfo: US blames Russia for the sonic attacks on American diplomats in Havana

The US accused Russia of being responsible for the sound attacks on US diplomats in Havana, Cuba. There is no evidence for such accusations, but the very clear reason is for the US to have the ultimate reason to seriously disrupt its relations with Russia. This media paranoia has one goal: to limit the possibilities of international trade, to break economic, cultural and other ties, to get all contacts to the level of the Cold War.

Disproof

The US administration, as well as US President Donald Trump himself, have expressed the belief that the Cuban government is responsible for sonic attacks. "I believe Cuba's responsible. I believe that, "Trump said in a Rose Garden news conference. The issue raises more questions than answers, so the investigation also focuses on the possibility that a third country might be behind the attack. However, it does not operate with the assumption that the country is explicitly Russia.
