Disinfo: President Poroshenko was brought to power by the US and Ukrainian oligarchs in order to establish a nationalist regime in Ukraine

Summary

No one will ever believe that [the West, the US and the Ukrainian oligarchs] did not understand what [they] were doing when removing Yanukovich, who had been supposedly thieving around, and then replacing him with the supposed “honest Poroshenko”. Everyone knows what the Ukrainian oligarchs have been doing in Ukraine during 25 years! They were robbing this country! This whole country has been designed in order to get rich. […] It is a monstrous deception of the population of the former splinter of the Soviet empire, by the Americans together with their [Ukrainian] oligarchs! It will end with coming to power of the most radical gang of Ukrainian nationalists. It is all directed against Russia.

Disproof

As witnessed by the democratic and inclusive Presidential elections held on 25 May 2014, Ukraine is governed now by a democratically elected government, not by the West or the US. The OSCE characterized the elections as showing the "clear resolve of the authorities to hold what was a genuine election largely in line with international commitments and with a respect for fundamental freedoms." According to the OSCE, the only areas where serious restrictions were reported were those controlled by separatists, who undertook "increasing attempts to derail the process." http://bit.ly/2g9K0Mp . The far-right ‘Right Sector’ that is often depicted as "fascists" or "Nazis" by pro-Kremlin outlets, gained only 1.8% of the votes during Parliament elections held the same year, far short of the threshold needed to enter the Ukrainian Parliament. The electorate clearly voted for unity and moderation, not extremism or war against any country, including Russia, and the composition of the Parliament reflects that clearly http://bit.ly/2dFFEdi.

Donetsk People’s Republic launches representative office in Helsinki

The DPR Foreign Ministry added that the official opening ceremony had been attended by the Finland-Russia Friendship Society chairman Daria Skippari-Smirnov.

Disproof

The “Donetsk People’s Republic” is not recognized by Finland and therefore cannot have an embassy or other official representation in Finland. Neither are the separatist groups in eastern Ukraine recognized by the UN, the EU or the OSCE. A diplomatic mission can be founded only between countries that have established diplomatic relations and only by mutual consent. A Finnish source claims that it acts as the “Representation of the Donetsk People’s Republic” or the “Embassy of the Donetsk People’s Republic” in Helsinki. Finland emphasises the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Finland does not approve of the unilateral efforts to separate regions of Ukraine from the country itself. http://www.finland.org.ru/public/default.aspx?contentid=326873&contentlan=1&culture=fi-FI, www.stopfake.org/en/fake-donetsk-people-s-republic-office-opens-in-finland, Ria Novosti and Tass published both the disinformation about opening a representation of DPR and the debunk by the Finnish Foreign Ministry: ria.ru/world/20171208/1510491372.html, , www.vesti.ru/doc.html?id=2963523, Daria Skippari-Smirnov does not represent Finland-Russia Society but association RUFI that initiated an "Immortal Regiment" march on Victory Day May 9 in 2017 in Helsinki.
