Ukraine has stated that it is committed to European values but it did not specify what kind of European values. Apparently, to the values that were all-European during the period of the thirties and forties in the 20th century – when Europe was under the rule of fascism.
The Romanians are demanding – yes, this is the idea of “Great Romania” – to get back the territories seized by the Soviet Union: Northern Bukovina that is now the part of Chernivtsi region, Ukraine. And then the South Bessarabia, which is part of Odessa region and Moldova. The Hungarians demand part of Transcarpathia, where 150 thousand Hungarians live now.
