Disinfo: Russian land-seizing is such a crazy European paranoia

Summary

The content of the crazy European paranoid madness, which the Western media seeks to impose, is that Russia intends to seize parts of the lands of Eastern Europe, with the aim of destabilizing and dominating the gentle and peaceful NATO countries.

As a result, “Russophobia” is increasing in Europe and the United States, simultaneously while NATO’s control, arms and forces are expanding on Russia’s western borders, without any evidence of any activities or even aggressive intentions on the part of Russia.

Adolf Hitler managed, with the full complicity of the great Western powers, to take over and subjugate all of Europe, then convert many countries to his allies, and use their human and industrial capabilities to bolster his giant military machine.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the West/ NATO threatening or encircling Russia which is part of a Kremlin-led narrative to portray NATO and Western armies as aggressive forces against Russia.

All Nato’s allies reaffirmed at the Brussels Summit that "the Alliance does not seek confrontation and poses no threat to Russia". NATO is a defensive alliance. Its purpose is to protect the member states.

Any link between Adolf Hitler and alleged complicity of Western powers is just part of the Kremlin’s policy of historical revisionism of the WWII events.

Read more similar cases alleging that NATO exploits non-existent “Russian threat” to increase its presence close to Russian borders and that the US creates and spreads a false image about an “aggressive” Russia constituting a security “threat”, or that a West aggression is directed against Russia’s security interests, in addition to claims that Western European countries, primarily, the UK and France, allowed Hitler to revive a strong army.

Real purpose of Istanbul Convention is to abolish the family institution

The real purpose of the Istanbul Convention is not to prevent domestic violence at all. It means, in case of conflict, to get into the family, get involved in the family business. As a result, deepen it. So the goal is to eliminate the family institution.

Disproof

Recurring disinformation narrative about the Istanbul Convention. This message is consistent with recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about the morally corrupt West and threatened traditional values.

The Istanbul Convention (the Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence) is a treaty of the Council of Europe that opens the path for creating a legal framework at a pan-European level to protect women against all forms of violence, and prevent, prosecute and eliminate violence against women and domestic violence. So far, the Convention was ratified by 33 states.

The West wants a Russian-Turkish war because of Syria

Of course, the West wants a Russian-Turkish massacre to happen. They would be satisfied with Putin’s failure in the negotiations. However, the inability to come to an agreement by both parties and the continuation of the war is the best way.

Disproof

This is a conspiracy consistent with recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about the Syrian war and accusing the West of Russophobia with no evidence provided.

The European Council noted the outcome of the Russia-Turkey meeting of 5 March in Moscow and called on all parties "to keep in place an immediate and sustainable ceasefire, to guarantee the protection of civilians on the ground and from the air and to facilitate the unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance by the international community."

Turkey-Greece crisis has taken NATO to its limit

What if a NATO member attacks another member, as it is happening now with Turkey and Greece? In Greece, we are seeing NATO at the edge. Europe is completely dependent on the US.

Disproof

Despite increasing tensions at the Greek-Turkish border, the situation is far from taking NATO at the edge.

This is part of a recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative on NATO, portraying it as a useless, decadent and Russophobic organisation with no role in today’s world. You can see other examples in our database, such as NATO’s alleged obsolescence, cannibalistic character, fascistic tendencies and links to white supremacist ideology, its never-ending provocations, its attempts to block Moscow in its sphere of influence, the Alliance's permanent targeting of Russia and Belarus, its role as a US subjugation tool for other countries and its unreliability to defend its members or the claims that NATO is such a disaster that the US didn’t want its help after 9/11 and that it is spreading the coronavirus in the US.
