Disinfo: The basis of the Istanbul Convention is to desecrate the education system

Summary

The basis of the Istanbul Convention is to desecrate the entire education system. Moreover, it will keep the system under the control of gender ideologists, starting from kindergarten. We are already seeing drafts of amendments to the Criminal Code. With a particular emphasis on: criminal responsibility for not hiring homosexuals in schools.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative on the Istanbul Convention. This message is consistent with recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about the morally corrupt West and threatened traditional values.

The Istanbul Convention (the Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence) is a treaty of the Council of Europe that opens the path for creating a legal framework at a pan-European level to protect women against all forms of violence, and prevent, prosecute and eliminate violence against women and domestic violence.

The Armenian Ministry of Justice clarifies that the Convention does not threaten Armenia's traditional values. The Convention states that traditions, cultures and religion cannot justify violence against women. In addition, the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe issued an opinion that "there are no provisions in that Convention that could be said to “contradict” the Constitution of Armenia".

Kaliningrad exclave is threatened by NATO

NATO is conducting non-stop activities of mobilization nature. And Russia is already presented as the main adversary. There are no direct threats to attack Russia. Nevertheless, different scenarios are being worked out. For example, to exclude options similar to the “annexation” of Crimea. The threat to Kaliningrad exclave has increased many times.

One of the high-ranking NATO generals announced that a military operation against Kaliningrad region is possible. So, NATO exercises are a direct immediate threat to Russian borders.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative on Western attempts to encircle Russia, Western belligerence and Western aggression against Kaliningrad.

The origins of this NATO scenario comes from a recent report by the American Jamestown Foundation entitled “How to Defend the Baltic States”, published in October 2019.

The United States raised the Islamic State terrorist organisation

Under Obama, the United States raised the Islamic State terrorist organisation to explain the invasion of Syria. It was, of course, a lengthy process. And today led to the fact that for the first time a whole country (Iran) dared to formally speak out against the United States.

Disproof

No evidence given to support this claim and a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative that either the US or the West is behind the creation of ISIS/Daesh. This message is part of a broader conspiracy theory alleging that the United States has established many terrorist organizations and controls global terrorism. Read similar messages here, here and here.

In fact, the US is part of the global coalition against Daesh.

Regular flights will be launched between Crimea and Armenia

Regular flights will be launched between Crimea and Armenia from March of this year. The air route between Simferopol and Yerevan will be the first regular international flight service after the reunification of Crimea with Russia. The opening of the regular flights will be a good example for China and Turkey and other countries and airlines. This will also mark the beginning of the first international flights from Crimea. As a result, the international status of Simferopol Airport will be strengthened.

// Regular flights are to be launched between Crimea and Armenia from March of this year. Ikar airlines has already received the relevant permissions and approval from the Federal Air Transport Agency for the scheduled flights.

Disproof

Armenia’s Civil Aviation Committee informs that no such discussions were held with the aforementioned airline, no application was submitted.

The same information has also appeared in December 2019, but it was refuted by the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia. Armenia’s Civil Aviation Committee states that no such discussions were held with "Ikar" airways and no application was submitted.
