Disinfo: Italian leading politicians support Ukrainian Nazis

Summary

President of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy Laura Boldrini and Senate Speaker Pietro Grasso openly support the Ukrainian Nazis that every day kill innocent people in Donbass.

Boldrini and Grasso condemning the shooting on migrants in Italy’s Macerata, [where the gunman had a right-wing background],  is a sign of hypocrisy as they themselves are friends with Andriy Parubiy, leader of Ukrainian Nazis.

Disproof

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation about Nazis and Ukraine.

Parubiy is the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament.

There are no Nazis in the government nor in the parliament of Ukraine. Even the far-right ‘Right Sector’ (often depicted as "fascists" or "Nazis" by pro-Kremlin outlets) gained only 1.8% of the votes, far short of the threshold needed to enter the parliament. Ukraine's electorate clearly voted for unity and moderation, not extremism or Nazism, and the composition of the parliament reflects that http://bit.ly/2dFFEdi

EU will allegedly lift sanctions

Belgian PM Charles Micheal told the press after his meeting with Dmitrij Medvedev that the EU has had enough of self-inflicted harm and will stop supporting the sanctions. The reason for the conflict in Eastern Ukraine – which brought about the EU sanctions – is the US-led coup. Russia does not even have troops in the Donbas and their support for the two separatist republic is only a way to stop the Ukrainian government.

Disproof

Repeating earlier disinformation about lifting sanctions. Economic sanctions against Russia were last extended on 21 December 2017, until 31 July". http://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/press/press-releases/2017/12/21/russia-eu-prolongs-economic-sanctions-by-six-months/.  This is the last official EU decision relating to EU economic sanctions against the Russian Federation.

Sanctions is in fact a full-scale economic war

What we [Russia] so modestly call sanctions is in fact a full-scale economic war aimed at exerting huge pressure on our economy, preventing its growth, worsening the living standards of our people and economic development, and thus influencing the domestic political situation in our country, including elections and the further policy of our leadership.

Disproof

Sanctions are not an economic war. They were adopted in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and the deliberate destabilisation of Ukraine. The economic sanctions targeting exchanges with Russia in specific economic sectors are aligned to the complete implementation of the Minsk agreements. http://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/policies/sanctions/ukraine-crisis/
