The EU does not support the war in Donbas and calls upon all parties to the conflict to restore peace and settle the disputes through diplomatic means. To this end, the EU has been constantly acknowledging the role of the Minsk agreements as the only way to settle the conflict. See also the press statement by President of the European Council Charles Michel following his meeting in eastern Ukraine with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in March 2021 who states:
"We are on the European continent, in 2021, and there is war. This is a shameful reality. People continue to die in this conflict. And to live in extremely difficult circumstances. I wanted to come here to highlight yet again how unacceptable the situation is and to meet those who do their jobs under extremely difficult circumstances".
Reports by pro-Kremlin media about a boy allegedly killed by a drone attack by the Ukrainian army on April 2, 2021, cannot be considered true. Instead, according to the comprehensive debunk of the Ukrainian Fact-Checking Group StopFake, the boy died as a result of an accident while handling explosive elements. This is confirmed by statements of eye-witnesses from the respective village within the debunk of StopFake. In a report, released on April 6, OSCE SMM established that "a child died due to blast trauma and shrapnel wounds."

Russian media are continuously spreading disinformation about "15 secret military biological laboratories in Ukraine". In fact, there are no secret US laboratories in the country. The U.S. Department of Defense’s Biological Threat Reduction Program collaborates with partner countries to counter the threat of outbreaks (deliberate, accidental, or natural) of the world’s most dangerous infectious diseases.
The number of biological laboratories controlled by the US is growing all over the world, especially near the borders of Russia and China.
Lethally dangerous microorganisms could be released into the environment “as if by mistake”, leading to a massive destruction of the civilian population of both bordering states and the population of Russia.
The US is developing individual biological research plans for many countries. Research is based on national needs "primarily for military purposes”. The disinformation about US biolabs in countries bordering Russia aiming to encircle Moscow and spread infectious diseases is a part of a years-long disinformation campaign led by the Kremlin. In fact, biological laboratories are involved in preventing the risks of complex diseases and, together with other similar projects, counteracting bioterrorism.
The article does not present any evidence that supports the claim that the US is secretly developing biological weapons in laboratories around the world, thus making unfounded accusations. Russia claims that the Richard Lugar Center for Public Health Research in Georgia, a public health facility named after US Senator Richard Lugar, is one such lab, but has never presented evidence to support its allegations. International experts visited the facility in 2018 to examine the premises, interview employees and review documents but found nothing suspicious.
